An extremely annoying type of pop-up...

The pop-up below almost always appears at least once whenever I go on the Internet on my Windows ME computer. As you can see, it takes up the entire screen, the little x in the upper right corner is grayed out (it never seems to load, BTW), right clicking doesn't do anything, alt-tabbing and then right clicking the bar at the bottom to close it that way doesn't work, and if I control-alt-delete, it causes the entire IE program to close. If you know how I can rid myself of these, please tell me.

One way is by hitting Alt + F4. That will close the front window that is open.

Make sure to scan your computer for adware using AdAware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com )

Also, maybe your homepage is set to a page that has these popups. So consider changing your home page.

Or get a popup stopper. The best is the Google toolbar: http://toolbar.google.com/

Another way is to switch to some other browser than IE, like Opera or Netscape, which have built-in popup-stoppers and are generally better as programs (IMO).
