An XML error in "Warlords" for a PC

I know I have a foreign version of Warlords. I downloaded and installed the new patch and when I started it up I got this error message:

XML Load Error
Failed Loading XML file XML\GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml.

And then...

XML Error
LoadXML call failed for GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml.
Current XML file is:

What do I have to do in order to be able to get my version working properly with the new patch.
