Looked high and low for this and it seems that mods once worked for android, but now don't (file structure changes ie obb). Is this right?

All I really want is slower research speed as I am flying through tech vs build speed. Surely t here is some way to edit the xml inside the obb files and still have the game recognise it.

Any advice would be great fully appreciated.

I don't know if it still works, but you can try the method in this thread: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...-mods-also-from-steam-to-your-android.663435/

There may be some tweaks you'll need to make to a mod to get it working. I'd compare the Steam and Android versions of the mod in this thread and see what the differences may be - https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/less-advanced-barbarians.678603/

If you don't have Steam mods can be downloaded using https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/

Good luck!

I do appreciate you taking the time to explain and as a civ fanatic user when civ 4 was at its peak I guess I was used to more traffic.

I had already checked your linked post (thanks anyway smile 😃) but you may have noticed the last reply stating that mods no longer work. Whoever does the android version changed the file structure from open xml (and hence moddable) to a compressed obb file format. And so far it's proving hard to mod.
