Anno Domini: Rise of Cities edition (latest version dated November 9th 2016) 27

Are you absolutely sure you're not playing it with any other mods loaded - it works for me, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for you. Perhaps if you could upload your logs it could indicate what the issue is.

aside from 1 map no mods, and i even disabled the map and it still did the same. where can i find the logs?
 
I dont think the Thebes civilization is working properly, the description for the UU says that it possesses the march promotion like all Thebian melee units, yet no units I made including the UU had march.
They no longer have the same UA as it was too unbalanced. It changed to Boeotian League: "Civilizations with whom you have a declaration of friendship gift military units when war is declared against you. Pay 25% less for land unit maintenance." I must have forgotten to change that in the UU description.

Hi Rob! I finally have the time to play Civ/AD again, and OH LOOK there's an amazing new version out. So far I've been playing it unaltered (just fixed the Explorer as per your instructions) and it's awesome as usual. I haven't fully understood (or encountered) all the new features yet (still in the first era) but so far it looks VERY clean and promising.

report: game becomes unplayable when i almost discover the tech which has courthouses (i forgot the research name). it starts to crash to desktop after a few turns and eventually won't even start up anymore.:confused:

I've started a few games now and I can't get past this crashing to desktop. I haven't discovered courthouses yet (in the current game) but it's usually around this length of time into a game where the crashing starts. I'm not sure if it's related, but the game will also crash more often than not if i'm in a game and go to load a previous save.

I've attached the main logs if anyone can see anything that may be the cause...

Hey, just on my first game of AD6 and found an interesting bug. Only using this mod. Doesn't look like anyone else has found it, so i'm not quite sure as to how it's come about. But on selecting my first Policy (opening the first tree on the left, which should give 3 culture per turn), i was awarded 1.7 million culture points or so. Appeared to come from a negative sum (there was something in the tooltip that mentioned it), but not sure how. I'd gained a second city already from Ruins, playing as Parisi, and am not sure if there's anything else i could have done that may have effected the game.

On the plus side, i have all the policies open and enough culture to open the entire game's policies as soon as they're available! :crazyeye:

I have 16GB playing on a standard size map so you'd think that'd be enough. I'll start a new game on a smaller map and see how it goes. If most people are able to play through fine then maybe I'll completely remove Civ from steam, reinstall and see how I go. Maybe there's some remnant of old mods or settings that's effecting it. It's damn annoying because i love this mod and can't play Civ without it now :)

Yeah I'm able to play it fine with 16GB ram, so you might want to try completely wiping Civ and reinstalling. The closest I could get to what you described was when I had all the Anno Domini mods along with a custom map script, after about 100 or so turns the game would just crash to desktop when ending a turn.
 
Also Rob would you know why my game would crash when using the Communitas custom map script? It's just a .lua file like all the other map scripts, and I have run the tectonic map script fine with Anno Domini, but for some reason when I use the Communitas map with this mod the game takes 3x as long to load and usually crashes after a few minutes. I love the map since it makes 2 continents and has everyone start on one of them, so theres always a whole continent to explore after oceanfaring :p
Maybe the map script just uses up too much ram or something x.x

I tried on large instead of huge, and I haven't crashed yet. I guess the script just uses a ton more ram XD
One thing I noticed is that cities will choose to work tiles with disease over tiles without disease, is it possible to give the disease 'yield' a negative influence? Like there are 2 tiles, one has 2 food the other has 2 food 1 disease, the city picks the 2 food 1 disease when it logically should pick the other if that's something possible to add.

oh and for a bit of balancing, improving the stone resource should either:
yield multiple stone (like limestone does), not give +1 disease, or the stone works building should provide at least 3 disease.

when expending a great person after constructing the mausoleum of halicarnassus makes multiple "missing texture" popups and the notification on the events list is a red square.

also for some reason when I research the tech to reveal iron, I always start out with -2 iron. It doesn't say I'm using any either, which makes this all the more weird.

AI does not appear to respond correctly when at war. I captured 3 of this guy's cities and wiped out every unit he had, yet the "war score" thing said the AI believes victory is assured. It looks like it is probably some kind of sign error, like a + instead of -

So I assimilated the city thinking it would solve it but it is still a colony. I am currently going through 'We love the king day' for the city so it might be related to that. It's not just you, all of my cities become colonies after a while, and assimilating does nothing. I haven't really found it to be a problem since it still acts like a normal city, but you're also able to build the colony-only buildings in it.

Yes I suppose there is an advantage to that but I do find it a bit frustrating that I can't queue things up - but it's not the end of the world. (We love the King Day ending makes no difference to refer back to my earlier post)

Just to a quick note to you Rob about the mod - don't despair about it going wrong. it can be so bad when you see the fruits of ones labour turn out bad. Gee I have enough grown up children to know how that one feels.... I'm joking of course. Don't give up on your baby.

@AsterixRage: is it possible for you to post your logs - that is generally what helps. I now have a different version of Anno Domini, so I cannot simply load up the save, sorry.

One thing - EUI was done as DLC so doesn't show as a mod apparently - and that doesn't work with Anno Domini, though I suspect you'd have come across issues earlier than turn 543!
