Another God Question: What would it take...

Why should they?

The frontier of human knowledge has expanded by so much that it's impossible for any one person to have even a cursory understanding of all of it. In fact, it's been mathematically proven that there's a finite limit to human knowledge, because beyond a certain point the information itself would form an event horizon--disappearing inside a black hole. The limit is gigantic, but it does exist.

Our knowledge has grown so much that human beings are now forced to specialize. And guess what? The specialists in all the different fields (and, frequently, different people in the SAME field!) reach differing conclusions.

Hell, you and I are both smart--and here we are disagreeing about whether smart people would disagree. :)

I certainly agree with you that human knowledge is limited. What i meant was that you must never exclude humans will get agreement about certain aspects of the world, even when it seems hopeless at the moment.

The fact that people are smart/intelligent doesn't mean they will always come to different conclusions, that's what i read in your post.
