We all know how much fast the technology have propulse us, ethic and moral interacting with the whole.

What do you anticipate for human, for the next, 50, 200,500 years...your choice.

It can be social,economic,politic,scientific,religious issue....ect... on a world wide scale.

Let your imagination and your personal vision know to us

In 50 years, I expect the world to be morally bankrupt (moreso than today) and at a technological peak.

In 200 years, I expect a catostrophic event to have taken place to reduce the population to no more than several million individuals.

In 500 years, I expect the unexpected.

Assuming that I and other people of faith are wrong:

in 50 years...
AIDS is rampaging unchecked throughout Africa and Eurasia, billions are dead or dying, the Middle East is a very quiet neighborhood thanks to a brief but intense nuclear exchange.

Fortress America has sealed its borders and exists as a totalitarian Christian Fundamentalist police state. England may or may not be a protectorate of FA, depending on whether or not it demolitioned the Chunnel in the first outbreaks.

Indonesia is now a major world power and probably the only significant outlet for FA's economy, as its absorption/conquest of Australia gave it the economic base to fuel its economy.

Japan is either a protectorate of FA or either a haven for an elite force from either China or Russia, possibly both (very unlikely given their histories) or the blackened scorched battlegound upon which they fought.

South America is part of Fortress America, or it is a deathland like Africa/Eurasia. If the latter, then the Panama Canal is probably the choke-point that the FAAF enforced a line of death over. That would make Mexico a source of cheap(read slave) labor and minorities in FA are also treated the same. The Caribbean is FA's vacation spot, guarded by a sizeable contingent of the FAN.

Basically, really really depressing.

200 years-
Eurasia's population is down to the tens of millions at most. If there is an immunity gene out there for AIDS, most of the survivors have it. If not, the population is much lower, and probably only exists because it is in remote and inhospitable areas like Tibet and the north coast of Scandinavia. The rest of the supercontinent is roamed by tribes of barbarians born dying of AIDS and what-not.

The Pan-Pacific League, including America, Australia, Japan and England (asuming they're not toast from earlier) is founding the beginnings of a nanotech civilization, and Eurasia becomes the test bed for a cure for AIDS and all other diseases. The PPL has colonised several planets and moons in the solar system, and weather can be controlled to a limited extent on earth.

500 years-
Spanning a 200LY diameter globe, the United Earth Directorate is a star-faring nanotech civilization using Bussard-style interstellar ramjets to fuel its manifest destiny in space. Much of the Orion Arm now supports human life, and things look pretty decent since the Spacer Wars of the early expansion ended in triumph for the more techncologically advanced Earth. The blue-shifting flares of retreating ramjets show that a few die-hard spacers are putting distance between themselves and the UED to start anew far from the planet of their origin, but any threat they might pose is long centuries, possibly millennia, away.

Assuming the people of faith are right:

50years-
Earth is a paradise. The billions of humans living there are perfect physically, and are living under the thousand year reign of Christ while Satan walks the earth in physical form for his last chance to convince anyone that he is still right.

200years-

10,000 years-
Some 9 millennia have come and gone since the former things passed away. In that time, mankind has reaped the rewards of living within God's rules, and enjoys the benefits of a society better than I can imagine, or that English contains words to convey imagery of. Where we are, and what we are doing, neither I nor any other man can say. But I do know that while we're doing it, no one has cause for or need of complaint.

In 50 years, I anticipate that all the young pessimists of today will be greatly disappointed that the planet is scraping through day to day much like now without (m)any of the doomsday scenarios coming to light.

In 100 years, I won't give a rat's ass about this planet, since I'll be sitting in a carved out asteroid traversing the heavens at a fraction of c on my to another star system, content with having the majority of my artificially induced years still ahead of me.

I'll care to take a guess, for the fun of it

In 2 years Saddam is caught, betrayed by his own people. By this time Iraq is largely independent, but still requires a considerable international force to maintain it's stability.

Bill Gates chokes on a $100 bill, dies, the Microsoft monopoly is disintegrated. Bill Gate's children squander their father's fortune in a few short years.

In 15 years, the US pulls out of Saudi Arabia, and suddenly, the terrorists will have no more popular support, gradually, their structures and organisations break down. Bin Laden is still hiding, but is now frantically searched by both the US, Europe and the Arab world.

By 2020 the war on terror will end, as the US finally decides to relinquish some of it's arrogance and submit to a higher authority in the form of a UN. Israel and Palestine will be two independent states who are still struggling to ment their diferences, but are largely peaceful. Roumors that Bin Laden is dead arise, but no evidence is found.

The UN is reformed, vetos are eliminated, China, even with it's population only gets the equal voting power of the US.

By 2030 an African Union is formed modeled by the EU. Africa becomes a strong trade partener for the World.

China becomes an authoritarian democracy.

By 2050 advances in biotechnology completely eradicate AIDS, cancer, Alzheimer's and many other diseases. A cure for the common cold is still not found.

The first Space Ladder is built, Space becomes accessible to the average middle-class individual.

The Middle Class now engulfs 30% of the World's population.

The first attempts of Asteroid mining.

5000 people now live and work outside of the Earth in space stations, there are permanent and self-sustained bases on the Moon and Mars.

By 2100 the Mars colonies will grow large enough to sue for independence. Independence is granted after a short armed conflict. The World is united into a loose federation.

50 years, same old problems as now, the marginal farmland left is protected by law. GM crops have contaminated the world.
Electric power and water have replaced oil as the world's most
valuable resources. Canada, Russia and Brazil becoming "rich"
natiions. International sea frontiers have been extended to the point where international waters only exist in the mid pacific and
the antarctic.

500 years, no one lives here (earth) anymore, not since the
harnessing of gravity.

I think Canada could already be considered one of the richer countries.

Not knowing what Phallangist ideology is, I'll say two out of three ain't bad. Bear in mind that I do not for an instant regard 'Fortress America' with anything like anticipation or desire. It sounds much more like the horror-realm depicted in The Last One. I don't think it will survive without the omnipresent dread of AIDS or whatever new disease takes its place to instill the neccessary terror. In fact, I hereby amend my depiction above to say that if AIDS is cured, it will be by the PPL acting alone without FA's help. (FA's ruling elite would see an end to AIDS as a threat to their way of life.)

Unless the genetic terrors coming out of Africa are stopped, they will usher in a new Dark Age. Right now, the world's scientists are underfunded for this effort, as the victims are people that 'civilized' folk don't care about, because they're not sitting on any oil.

That is the most disturbing website I have ever seen. The home page reminds me so strongly of Nazi Germany it's scary. Red, White, and Black. The webmaster (der Vebbmeister?) even put his name inside eagle's wings.

God why are people so negative all the time? I bet 50 years ago people would have said that the USSR and USA would have nuked the world by now and we'd be recovering from a nuclear winter. But no the world is still alive and well.

I believe that we will see the biggest advances in bio medicine. I think that the life span of the 1st world will increase dramtically. Through stem cells and cloning we will extend our lives for a very long time.

I see US power declining and China or EU power rising to fill the power vacuum.

I see a culutral strugal between religous fundamentalist and the secular world.

I see the continued exploration of space, and colonies on the moon and mars.

I see a globalised economy.

People have been predicting the imminant destruction of the world for millenia now. But so far all of them have been wrong, leading me to believe all modern day doomsayers will be wrong too.
