I've thought of achieving vanilla victories in DoC game. Space, domination and culture victory has been done, but diplomatic victory (UN) disturbs me a lot. The challenges are follows:
- You need 2/3 UN votes to win, and only those appreciate you very much (+7 attitude) will vote for you. This is a very high threshold.
- It's difficult to make friends with everyone because of "you've traded with our worst enemies" malus.
- Vassals will vote for you, but other civs will have "we're afraid of our rival being your vassal" malus, which multiplies as your empire become stronger.
- You must avoid achieving the second UHV to stay away from the -2 attitude malus.
- Best Defense quest is useful (+2 attitude) but may fade out.
Do you have any ideas on achieving diplo victory through UN? Which civ to choose and what's the key point of the strategy?
