Any mod to have 14 factions?

Does a mod or something exist to allow all the 14 factions to play at once?

A modification to the alphax.txt or any other text file would not work. It would require modification of the .exe file, which we can't discuss at CFC.

It's actually because the .exe file is copyrighted, and modifying it is illegal. CFC needs to remain a law-abiding website.

Actually, in this context, CFC refers to Civilization Fanatics Center. And the edits necessary to give a game more than 7 factions at once would require reverse-engineering and/or altering the Alpha Centauri executable(The progam that runs it), and thus, a violation of the EULA(End User License Agreement, for those that are acronym impaired). It also violates various US laws, including certain copyright laws.

Yeah, modding, esp. exe modding, is legally no different to hacking the program. It's always been a legal grey area.
