Washington D.C. is most definitely named after George Washington. There's no doubt about this.
I guess the.. beard is kinda cool? But idk he looks a bit weird to me. Hell the fact that they're even showing what he looks like before the preview is weird enough, don't think that's ever happened before
Actually, there are two tables that have been discovered from a long time ago that give a different ability for Kublai.
The first Trading Post you get in a Civilization grants you a free Eureka and a free Inspiration.
Any gossip is good gossip, @Onii-chan.
Can't wait to build his Pleasure Dome/Xanadu district . . .
That would suck. A lot.
Something like that, I'm sure there will be more to it.
Yeah, it'd have to be way more than that, since on a standard map that's only like 7 eureka/inspirations. But could easily be a more minor part of his bonuses along with something else.
Most the NFP UA's have been based on existing mechanics.
I remember this getting pointed out to u.s. elected officials when they were legislating the change the D.C. airport name.
Though with Mongolia's civ ability you would just have to start the trade route to receive the boost, not having to wait for the trader to reach another city. And if he lead China the boosts would be greater.
Just name the city Saigon unless Ho Chi Minh gets in the game as a leader. Then would it matter?
Before French colonization the city was called Gia Dinh (嘉定 in Chinese characters) under Emperor Gia Long. Just use this name then.
Well even though it's the same city in real life, that could be three cities on the list for Vietnam.
Will there be a Chinese Kublai and a Mongolian Kublai, in the same vein as Eleanor? Anyone know?
It's not confirmed, but we have evidence of it. We'll just have to wait.
The consensus says yes.
But the facts say maybe...
Ehhh. Imagine if they show us this early look of Kublai because if he leads that other country there is another Kublai model that will be shown in the actual reveal? Remember Eleanor has two looks for different civs.
Firaxis knows we love surprises.
Yeah... That's been the discussion on this thread for at least 2 pages now.
'The consensus' also said Tamar of Georgia was in the base game. It is often wrong.
There is no evidence pointing towards Kublai leading two civs or having two character models. (If there is, receipts?) We will know which it is the second the reveal is made. The rest is speculation.
Sincerely hoping it's a policy card to be honest. "Seven Free Eureka's/Inspirations" is a garbage ability.
The civ wiki has already been updated. Though it says nothing of Kublai Khan leading another civ (which would be China): -> Kublai Khan (Civ6) | Civilization Wiki | Fandom
That wiki isn't official, though. It's written by fans.
