any room for roleplay?

in the normal DGs there has always been roleplay (or so i have been told) so perhaps we should liven up the Rp in this one? or is it to competitive? i wanted to ask the question first and i didn't really know where to put it so i opened a thread... i hope thats alright
and since this is my first thread

I would like to have some roleplay, but it would be best to have that in the UN so that everyone can play, plus we can have one thred here for all our team Roleplaying.

Would it not be better to have one here for our own interaction and then a big multicultural UN thread when we have met others ... just wondering how it works with the not meeting policy ... but then again increase the fun factor should not be forgotten ... so whatever happens is good ... as long as there is a Tavern where we can all meet

i myself im not that big an RPer and never really did any RP here but i know you other guys like to rp so i might as well try it here
i was thinking more of a team RP but we could post the idea in the UN thread
also when we build our second city we should throw a party of sorts lol start the rp with the founding of the city i love parties

Well seeing as we are Team M.I.A., I am thinking that we are some elite renegades missing in action from some powerful empire. I see this as similar to the Janissary classes in Ottoman Times, or the A Team, or any kind of elite, independent, renegade bunch. Basically the point I am trying to make is NO, we should NOT bathe for the 2nd city birthing party.

see parties are fun and also perhaps a little story telling could be thrown in there (not in the party) when we meet other civs

I am not that familiar with the DemoGames ... however I recall be overwhelmed when visiting one game ... but was entertained following the civilization's progress through the pages of a newspaper ...

I emailed our previous president about a possible newspaper / discussion tracker but he didn't reply.

Whats the new team captian think. Could be an extension of the old "Things To Do" thread only people can write newspaper articles in it.

Well as far as I am concerned don't wait to ask permission ... if it is within our private space ... anything goes ... that is how Looking Glass happened ...

However if you want to Role Play with it ... start a poll and ask the citizens if they would like to 'hear' the news from a town cryer (as we don't know how to read yet) ... maybe there is a name in there somewhere
