Any way to give captured workers back?

I usually go from cautious to polite to furious in about 10 turns, and I'm not sure why they get furious when I'm not at war with them.

Anyway - why would you want to send slaves back?

I notice occasionally that a leader will go polite a few turns before a sneak attack. So when someone is polite I watch them like a hawk.

Oh, I never forget the nature of my opponent. The AI is always the enemy, which is why I do not trade or depend on the computer for anything. Contact is to be minimized to the greatest degree possible, unless I happen to want to test my new changes on someone.
