Any way to see combat animations on enemy turn in multiplayer?

Is it possible to actually see your units being attacked by the enemy when you end turn rather than seeing a blue loading screen?

There's definitely not supposed to be any sort of loading screen. If the game is working properly you can see the animations on your opponent's turn, assuming you haven't turned them off.
