Any way to show games saves chronologically instead of alphabetically?

I searched for this topic and only found posts on no default naming of saves (another annoyance), so sorry if this is a repeat.

Has anyone found a way to have the saved games show up chronologically rather than alphabetically? Trying to remember the random name I gave the save when I wrapped up late at night is very annoying the next day. It sure would be handy if my most recent save, regardless of what I called it, ended up at the top of the list.

Or is this another Civ 4 feature that's hanging out with religion and espionage? ;)

i thought it did save chronologically, oh well it doesn't matter, just delete your old saves.

If nothing else, the UI has been dumbed down for sure. GOD don't make me think of that multiplayer mode without save again. *CRY*

In the settings for single player you can turn on Automatic Saves.
Since I have a lot of disk space I turn on save every turn and to keep the last one hundred saves. I am thinking of bumping that last figure up.

Before loading one of the automatic saves I look at the time stamp on the file by selecting it. That way if I want to go back to something earlier in time but I am not quite sure where I can do that so I can change the decisions I made.

Special events I give a name to and save the regular way so I can find them fast, like "This is where the last crash occurred' so I can get around the bugs by altering entries or mouse moments.

Civ5 overwrites saves with the exact same turn name and if you are not careful it will rename your old automatic saves then after a bit it will automatically delete them.
