Anyone Else Curious Where the Devs Get Some Names For Civ Traits?

Like out of curiosity I've looked up the meaning behind some Traditions and Civics and litterally nothing will come up besides the civ wiki page ofr whatever it is. I get that the team has an on staff historian and that some of this stuff is from civilizations where a lot has been lost to time but i'm genuinely interested how they name some of this stuff if sources are so scarce.
 
I know that the internet is *not* the place we can find every information exists. We need to read books, papers, records and even testimonies of people to gain enough vision of hitory.

If you check the threads on the civs here, you can find the translations. I think they start with the name of the Tradition/Civic in English and then translate, unless they know about an already translated name (which was probably why it was chosen in the first place)

Indeed. Someone has been creating glossaries in each civ discussion thread.
