Anyone else have the game occasionally break down?

It starts at the top of the screen and goes down, the UI starts to blink and then vanish, then the resource icons, then the yields. I have to control+alt+delete to close the game.
It usually seems to happen a few minutes after loading a save.

do you have windows 10? if so i thinx it might be a global problem

Reinstall steam and try running it in windows 9
