Anyone else missing Spacebar as "end turn" button?

As the OP said, not having the space bar to end turn is a bit of an annoyance, especially when there isnt even an ingame option to reconfigure keysets. I mean, cmon, what is this the stone ages?

I look forward to the spacebar option being available for $20 in a future DLC.

I'm definitely missing it.
And I xcan't find the option to turn it on (actually there aren't that many options, thought it was a demo-thing).

I find it very annoying that they removed it, now I need to click or press return, which isn't as comfortable as using the spacebar to end turn.

I hope they reinstate it with a patch, though.

Spacebar did end the turn in civ4 ? :)

Haha you never stop learning i guess... i used return all the time
Yes, spacebar ends turn in Civ4, and trust me, it's very nice to use :)

No space bar to trig the next turn ? Shame on you Firaxians. It will come for $20 in the next add-on for sure just like another forumer correctly stated.

BTW could units be moved via keyboard like previous series ?

Thx

Hopefully someone can make a mod that enables space again, been using it since Civ3. Can't get used to Return or Enter at all :(

That could be a good thing. My toddler used to sneak up on the keyboard while I was pondering the things left to be done before ending the turn. SPACEBAR being the biggest key, it was invariably the first thing he touched. Suppose cat-owners had the same problem? :D

Can't units be moved through keyboard? i seem to remember 2kgreg saying it uses 147369 on the keypad

Yes they can, but its not as intuitive as in previous versions anymore (maybe just some getting used to) - but it isn't that neccecary anymore after moving your units with the mouse stopped being super-anoying :p

Still, the space thing is frustrating. My usual playstyle for Civ, as long as I can remember is left hand on the keyboard, right hand on num-pad / mouse. Since you will need the mouse anyway and moving became quite handy - i found myself not alternating the right hand in civ V anymore.

And then there is allway this end of turn thing, that totally rips you out of your flow. It could be so simple, l-index on "I", little one on the "R" and thumb on space - it would be even cooler now, because it could also be used to pop up the next event in line ... argh

I find it quite intuitive, specially with the hex grid on. With the grip off, I occasional try to move my unit vertically up and down with 2 or 8 and get confused for half a second when they stay there.

True, the grid made a huge difference for me too, but as I said, maybe just a thing of getting used to it. Had similar problems when squares first became "diamonds" :mischief:

Still, I found myself far less tempted to use the num-pad over the mouse than in previous civs. First, because you need the mouse anyway for some stuff and second because they got mouse movement nice enought (witch mostly means fast)
