Anyone watching 'history of the world backwards'

Never heard of it before.

I should probably explain a bit more:

The History of the World Backwards tells the story of the world, but in a world where time flows forwards whilst history told backwards. In other words, if you were born in 2007, you would be 60-years-old in 1947. All the major historical events happen backwards, so for example, Nelson Mandela enters jail a Spice Girls fan, and comes out as a terrorist intent in overthrowing the state. There are several recurring themes, such as the "Technology collapse", where scientific discoveries are lost, forgotten or made unworkable and "times of climate crime" which is how the modern era is refered.

Yeah, watched the first three shows. Thought it was terrible. Repetitive, preachy and constantly moralising - pretty much standard for Rob Newman since he split up with David Baddiel.

I should note that I watched the second programme thinking it might be better than the first, and watched the third just because I was too damn lazy to get up after giggling through the brilliant Flight of the Conchords.

I only watched it because it occupied Charlie Brooker's slot and I needed something before Spooks started.

I understand where you are coming from as I've recently delved into Newman's back catelogue.

As for Flight of the Conchords, the radio version was far superior. To me part of its charm was that it was 'something that it was'nt' but now it's 'something that it isn't'. I think Rob Brydon's narration was part of that structure.
