We got actually 2 new videos focusing on civilizations in Ara, this one here is about one of the stables of our beloved civ franchise, which is also included in Ara: The Zulus. (for the other new video see here)
Obviously they are also head here by Shaka, one of the most dreaded opponents in any civ game. He get military bonuses (obviously, again), e.g. increased strength while pillaging or while units are outside his territory.
He is also getting a big production bonus in his capital, which in theory should make him a leader to be played tall, which is at odds with his military skills.
For more info please watch the video ;).

These videos feel rather pointless considering civs don't have any distinction from eachother other than the leader traits, which aren't really that impactful either. Unsurprisingly, they aren't getting any views.

I don't think the game needs to have more unique civs though. There's so many things you can build that each playthrough feels unique regardless.

I think the Civs do need to feel more unique.

For example, maybe for the Inca (my favourite civ) they could do something with mountains, which at the moment don't really do anything except as a barrier. Give them a terrace farms unique tile improvement, qipu as a unique technology/craftable item, perhaps some bonus with llamas and a unique storehouse. (qullpa) The Inca also had state sponsored religious feasts and their ability to store all kinds of foodstuffs and other materials for years allowed them to be lavish. A bonus to feasting would be in order.

They also had a unique form of governance and a quite different economic system. Perhaps that could be reflected, somehow.

This would help in making them look and feel more unique.

I do wish each civ would get something entirely unique to differentiate them more. The current setup, where each leader has one unique trait, and a set of minor traits, is fine, and it reminds me of Civ 4. But Civ 5 and Civ 6 just took it a step further, and I wish we could get a unique thing as well. An improvement would be the best (like Terrace Farms...I love Terrace Farms), but since this is Ara, unique goods could also be a good option. Having both would have been fantastic.
