Your point is?
Never to doubt about that.
White race is not just skin colour.
Can you please explain what it is then???
Though the skin color must be a requisite... or not?
Well most of us are pinkish at best.
So why the difference?
They are crosses between natives and Spanish. And in some cases, African slaves.
Are North Americans white?
Some are, others are mixed Native American or African. Argentina is like 80% European. Why does it matter?
Why the hell is it so important to pretend it doesn't?
To answer the question:
As much as Poland is in Central Europe.
You've answered my question with a question Gabryel. I don't judge people based upon where there ancestors came from. Maybe it does matter down there, but it shouldn't in a perfect world; is all I'm saying.
Is Michael Jackson white???
Fine, fine. And I don't disagree with you. Its just I get really tired of all these people who feel compelled to point out "there are no races", "everyone is equal" or "why does it matter" every time something like this is discussed. Noone is saying it matters, noone is saying one people is superior to the others but ffs, there are differences, saying there isn't may give some people warm fuzzy feeling inside but it also makes them look like idiots.
I swear, show a hundred random people a picture of a black man and a white man and ask them to speculate on who is more likely to originate from Africa, a good 20% would probaby, nervous but with a completely straight face, say that they can see no difference whatsoever and it is impossible to tell.
I've always considered them their own race, but I'm by no means an expert or anything.
Only in the US can you be born a poor black boy and grow up to be a rich white woman.
You also claimed that North Africans are black in your 4th post ever, so... i'm trusting your not an expert.
Keeping racism outside, this is te most accurate answer, and it applies almost in every region of earth; not only Latin America.
Ah. Latin Americans can be white, can be black, can be Asian and any shade in between. So some are white, some aren't.
However I STRONGLY object to people classifying them all as "something else" when a good part of them are clearly white or clearly black, etc. Calling people like this:
anything else than white is BS IMHO.
It's not a matter of there being a "warm fuzzy feeling inside" as the fact that race is entirely arbitary and has nothing to do with a real classification, whether it be biological or ethnic, whatsoever. It makes as much sense as the Russians calling all non-christian groups in Siberia "Tartars" or Americans calling everyone from East Asia "Chinese". Yes, it may be human nature to classify like that, to group people outside of your own group as part of a single group, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a completely incorrect, completely useless, and completely inaccurate classification.
If you honestly want to classify people, classify by population groups, not by overreaching and completely inaccurate categories of skin color.
White dude could be descendents of colonials from africa, black dude could be an african american. Hell the white dude could have black blood and thus by american cultural standards be black if he merely identified as one. The white dude could be from North Africa. Utterly meaningless classifications.
Separate names with a comma.
