Are YOU a homophobe?
Do gay people make you feel uncomfortable?

EDIT: I Clicked the wrong option. I meant to vote "No".

I hate campness. Totally unneccasary, false, irritating trait which basically to some people seems to mean you can insult people and get away with it. I've no problem with gays. not all gays are camp. In fact, not all camp people are gay. No problem with gays, cant stand campness

Insert cheesy some-of-my-best-friends-are-gay quip here.

My vote was an unequivocal no, but then I was reminded of "camp." I don't mind if gays act out as long as they don't get too crazy with it.

I take my personal space very seriously and sometimes the campers like to invade it. I consider that to be very rude behavior and the fact gays are something of a downtrodden minority does not excuse it.

My vote is still no, but I don't like people being clowny and getting in my face.

I'd have to say almost all people give me the creeps to some degree, so i voted that i am not a homophobe, because i fear them undiscrimently.

Wait, I need to fix my last post. I don't mind anyone being clowny. Everyone should do as they please, just so long as they don't hurt anyone or get in my face.

So have at it clowny-type people. Just try to stay at least 18 to 24 inches from me at all times. It's a fair standard I apply to everyone. ;)

Hey, some of my friends are camp!

Dude, liking girls is for fags.

Only a real man can take it up the rear and smile. Us hetero wimps are obsessed by < 1. slang for whimp 2. female cats>

Of course not.

I work in theatre, however. Being a homophobe in an industry where every other production these days adress gender issues isn't an option.

Those of my colleagues who are gay and act 'camp' are generally young and insecure about their newfound sexuality, or attention seekers. Mature gay people act just like straight people. There's no difference. At all.

Nope.

The message you have entered is too short.

How can you be a homophobe when the world gets so excited when you're gay? See?

Sorry, I'll take any excuse to bring the Kids in the Hall into the conversation ;)

I dispute that feeling uncomfortable around gay people necessarily makes one a homophobe. Everyone has their quirks. And there are plenty of people who aren't really uncomfortable around homosexuals who nonetheless could probably be considered homophobes - if you give a better definition of the term.

As long as they don't make their homosexuality the main part of their identity, they are fine with me.
