Given time zones, I suppose I will miss them. In any case, I suppose I will just watch the commentary afterwards. I understand the late night people will be going live for them.

    How about you?

I'm with Lex, I'll read the different summaries. And it's not like it really matters. If satan wins the nomination I'll be voting for satan.

If Trump were running against the Devil I should at least make him a favorable mention in the House of Commons...

Probably. I tend to have a strong aversion to watching videos, shows, and movies, but I'll make an exception for this.

I might let it play in the background while I game but most likely I'll just get hot takes from several trusted sources.

Might be interesting to hear the policy driven candidates snipe at the vapid and evasive "hey I'm not Trump" candidates.

Watching live tonight for Warren. I'll catch the hot takes from Thursday from the internet. I might watch Thursdays debate in entirety this weekend, not sure.

Will they actually answer questions asked, not interrupt each other, and hold others to account when they don't actually answer questions?

    No?

    Then no.

I'm going to try and watch it, but I don't get any of the networks carrying it.

Still, I live in the land of e-piracy, so who knows if it'll turn up.

Heres why the US is losing its democracy. A guy who calls TV a "telly" is likely going to more effort to see primary debates than most Americans.

The problem is what he will watch wouldn't pass muster in a high school debate. When people seeking to be future leaders of the country (and already leaders in many respects) set foot on such a stage, they should be capable of answering the questions they're asked and behaving within the bounds of the rules.

After turning off 10+ debates in a row where this wasn't happening consistently I quit watching them entirely with the conclusion that they're a farce. If we actually got coherent reasoning for policy and answers to questions that are asked + why these answers are better than opponent's answers it would be worth our time. As it stands, that elementary school pony show doesn't deserve to call itself a "debate" and I don't see how watching it vs not makes any tangible difference to the erosion of democracy.

We've been on a declining spiral wrt democracy ever since USA implemented winner-take-all first past the post voting, and it's close enough to impossible to alter the course without changing that. Which I don't anticipate happening, though I would like it to happen.
