Sanders is taking a break from campaigning to let his voice heal

even his fan Jimmy Dore was mad as hell at his performance in the debate, his people should have kept him fresh instead of letting him attend rallies to shout his slogans

It's not like the rest of the first world has done that in some shape way or form for the last seventy years and it's the US that is the outlier or something, exporting only schools of thought that reward greed and hoarding to the detriment of the common people and welfare...no....

Like for ****s sake, lets get with the program. The US is flawed. We're good at what - wielding a big stick? Some technological breakthroughs? All of that is, at best, a nice shiny coat of paint on a rotting, decaying, cored out house. Bernie and his camp is the norm elsewhere, even if the SocDems were gutted by Neolibs after the crises of the 70s and had to basically cook up the Greens and SocLibs in their place. But Bernie isn't some radical or outlier to anything but this flawed, unmodernised system.

Bernie is not the norm anywhere. He's a moron; I don't mean that in the internet sense - he's the real deal. His Medicare4All plan (read it) Will demolish the existing health care structure and replace it with - nothing at all. Free health care sounds fine, but not if there is none to be had. Bernie is not a socialist, "socialist" is just the most polite word he could find to cover his madness. His m4All bill has sat in congress for 2 years because it's too embarrassing to talk about.

Wth do you think you are going on about here? Medicare is generally the best health insurance right now. I work in healthcare.

Read the bill. If you owned a hospital, and this bill passed, your best course of action would be to auction off all the equipment to a foreign buyer and walk away. Read the bill.

That's a really dumb take if it just passes medicare for all, link it highlight the part that is your concern and I might bother reading it. I'm not doing your argument for you. You are the one making a claim against common knowledge. If it expands health insurance it everyone it will be good for healthcare providers. More business less hassle getting paid.

Everything is "subsidized" by us. Medicare is less a hassle then health insurance companies these days.

I have read it. And it is not Medicare for all. It is something much, much farther in scope.

Just get to your point. What is your concern? Or don't, but I'm done asking.

I think the idea is to replace Medicare for universal health care.

America is the only Western type country without it.

And it costs more and a lot if people are falling through the gaps.

Healthcare shouldn't be profit driving, that means the government needs to pay it. Means higher taxes though.

Unless they screw it up though costs go down. The only people getting screwed would be the insurance companies.

If they do it right you can still get private care like you can here. If the private sector can do it cheaper and better the government can pay them.

Universal care won't cover corner case scenarios, it's not perfect you will still have sob stories and that's where private care can help out. Health insurance here is cheaper than the USA for private care.

If you won't read it, that's understandable. If you won't listen to someone who has, that's familiar. This is why I love progressives.

I'm listening you ass, I'm asking you to specify why you think its bad for hospitals. I've said its better actually and shown that it will actually save money over ten years.

Medicare is subsidized by me, Medicare recipients do not subsidize my health care. Private insurers reimburse providers more than Medicare, if everyone was on Medicare providers will either get less or taxes will go up.

If done right costs go down for you as well. Or your employer if they're paying.

Universal healthcare here is just over 1/3rd the price.

Tax rates are 19%-33%, 15% sales tax (GST).

We also have universal welfare, cuts down on homeless people and crime as well.
If you want to send your kids to college tax's pay for 75% of that as well. 4 years of college will vary but maybe 20k USD maybe a bit more. Interest free loan for that.

Healthcare for children free, school to grade 12 free. Doctors visits for children free.
