Are you waiting for next patch?

Inca is the last civ I have some challenges for as I have never been them but thinking about holding off until Tuesday to see if I can do an Inca Nepal game for mountain glory?

I've cut way back on my play time and am hoping for some changes/improvements in this next patch to get me motivated again.

Yeah I'm waiting for Nepal to do a Mountain-themed ???>Inka>Nepal game as Pachacuti. Possibly starting as Greece for their rough bias (and hopefully thus mountains) and same attributes as Nepal, but undecided.

Edit: Or maybe I'll finally try out an advanced start into Exploration hmm

Yes. The next patch is close enough, I don’t think it makes sense for me to start a new game right now. I don’t play enough to get through a full game before patch release. I suppose I could do a “single-era” run.

Yeah. I have a couple old saves I am playing around with here or there when I have a few minutes but I want to start a new game when the patch releases and check things out. I am looking forward to see the changelog.

not cutting back... I'm in the process of completing a run with all civs... after 10 games, all I have left to play are aksum, hawaii and buganda... should be able to pull that off by playing rizal, but buganda is hard to unlock... patch will come when it comes ;-)

Started a new game last night. Had a lot of time to play today, so I should finish by Monday night.

I debated it, but I hadn't been able to play since the last patch, so I figured last week it was better to just get started. If it was today, and I only had a couple days until the patch, I'd probably wait to see what rebalances.

Waiting - other games to play and looking for the patch's improvements (especially renaming of cities/commanders, as that will make managment easier)

Absolutely. I can't tolerate the map generation and AI forward settling any longer. I played a few games to test out Carthage and the new patch, but the game's hanging chads quickly reminded me why I was being conservative with my play time.

Kinda, I get extremely annoyed by the way connections don't work, so I'm hoping there's a fix in the next update, especially since they took a look at the trade town range, mentioning "making it easier to connect towns and cities". Not holding my breath, though.

Anyone know if whether I’d have to start a new game to get the changes to Modern in my current run? Like, I’m on Exploration right now. If I finished it tomorrow, could I transition into Nepal with the pacing changes or would it not work?

Aside from a possible bug(?)/ logic fix, I wonder if said upgrade of the trade town specialization (= bonus range applying everywhere instead of only for the trade town itself) will help with empire internal connection issues. Well, asking/questioning this and being clueless is probably a hint itself on the system being a bit too opaque :crazyeye:

Unfortunately despite having several mountain cities I did not unlock Nepal. Maybe I misunderstood the requirements.

Nope I reloaded and sure enough it says I unlocked them but they are still locked. Britain all over again. Still haven't played them for similar reasons. Seriously WTH?

Having same issue... still cannot unlock Great Britain despite having 2+ fleet commanders as of this patch.

Strangely enough, I was able to unlock nepal on a game save that was started prior patch. Cannot unlock both Nepal and Great Britain in new games post-patch for some reason. I think I will just install unlock all civs mod at this point :undecide:

That might be a shout tbf, I'm currently in the Exploration age and I won't be surprised at all if the Nepal unlock is bugged, as is tradition at this point.

The Quick Move has been a much bigger improvement to my experience than I expected. I will definitely continue playing.
