There was protest of 250k in Prague against current PM. 40k in Russia is really nothing.
Thank You for sharing . It is very sad and makes me wonder why the police is acting like that, do they have orders to be brutal or is it just a mob psychology ? Either way I hope that those incidents are scarce. Have You personally seen some of that protests or maybe some of Your relatives or friends seen it ? How is it from Your perspective ? Any thoughts ?
I read a report that the Russians are evacuating the town where they had a nuclear incident while claiming the evacuation has nothing to do with the nuclear incident. Is any of this true?
Edit: I just read they cancelled the evacuation order hours after issuing it.
It is because a bedbugs infestation. Nothing to see here.
Approximately 3.6 bedbugs. Not great, but not terrible either.
(sorry I know it's an overused joke)
There are contradicting news about it. Allegedly, military offered people to leave the town temporarily for two hours, to finish some job related to the accident. Then, evacuation was cancelled.
Locals report that the radiation levels are normal.
Should have nuked the whole area, Bedbugs must be burned in atomic fire. Just ask @Bootstoots.
That would be a huge mistake. Everything will burn except bedbugs.
Morale if the story if you live in Russia don't live near a nuclear reactor.
Technically, the three most notorious nuclear meltdowns happened outside of modern Russia's territory. In Ukraine, Japan and USA respectively
True but the third worst accident happened in Russia proper in the 50s. Siberia they dumped waste in rivers and lakes, and the storage thing overheated and blew up.
The USA one the reactor worked as designed and didn't detonate like Chernobyl.
By the way, Hobbs, you are saying it wrong!
IVAN ? what is happening ???
Yank says you are testing nuclear cruise missles and it is a crazy idea
Don't worry, the situation is stable.
It is a bad but stable situation.
Always look for a good side. The situation cannot be worse any more. It's not improving either, but at least it's stable!
Ay blyat ! That must have been Vadim, cooking babushka blins on gasoline again. The radiation level is 3,6 not great, not terrible . The following video is what actually happened there :
Police have orders to detain people who are violating the law, use force if necessary. The protesters in this particular cases, were violating the law because they started mass protest outside of allowed area, in the center of the city. Most people on this action were escorted to near police station and released a couple of hours later. Of course police is not allowed to use excessive force. The particular case on the video where cop hits a woman was widely reported and a criminal case has been opened.
Beating a teenage girl I consider excessive and struggling is low level resisting arrest.
If she's clawing at your eyes or trying to kick you in the nuts maybe.
From what I've seen in most cases they just pick person up and carry him to the van. In some cases fighting erupts and it may look ugly.
Not saying we don't have problems with police brutality, I think we do. If cops beat people who don't resist or fight them, they must be punished.
