I beginning to think this Asperberger is a made up disease.

    * Narrow interests - I loves my airgun & elelctrical engineering.
    * Repetitive behaviors or rituals - Dont touch my bandana, it gives me unlimited power. I speak crazy stuff every day and get boners randomly! Oh noes!
    * Peculiarities in speech and language - I said a word incorrectly. IM A ARTARD!
    * Extensive logical/technical patterns of thought - I'm smart so all the kool kids hate me. WHAAA!
    * Socially and emotionally inappropriate behavior and interpersonal interaction - I hate kids and old people. I am also convinced women shouldnt be allowed to drive and I belittle them.
    * Problems with nonverbal communication - I cant make out hand gestures. Guess I am screwed up in teh head.
    * Clumsy and uncoordinated motor movements - Crap I spilled coke on some dude's pants in the movies, I R STIVE URKL!

The above examples are of my mental framework. I'm all that but people still likes me. But if the doctors say so I guess I have Assbergers. I'm now going to go emo, buy a CD of My Chemical Romance, listen to three songs, smash the player, rip the CD out of it and cut myself with it until I die.

    These describe ME:

They also might have trouble showing empathy with other people. Thus, people with AS might be seen as egotistical, selfish or uncaring.

Children with AS may show advanced abilities for their age in language, reading, mathematics, spatial skills, or music, sometimes into the 'gifted' range, but these talents may be counterbalanced by appreciable delays in the development of other cognitive functions.

Some other typical behaviors are echolalia, the repetition or echoing of verbal utterances made by another person, and palilalia, the repetition of one's own words.

AS in children can involve an intense and obsessive level of focus on things of interest, many of which are those of ordinary children. The difference in children with AS is the unusual intensity of said interest.

People with AS may have little patience for things outside these narrow interests. In school, they may be perceived as highly intelligent underachievers or overachievers, clearly capable of outperforming their peers in their field of interest, yet persistently unmotivated to do regular homework assignments (sometimes even in their areas of interest)

Children with AS often display advanced abilities for their age in language, reading, mathematics, spatial skills, and/or music—sometimes into the "gifted" range—but this may be counterbalanced by considerable delays in other developmental areas. This combination of traits can lead to problems with teachers and other authority figures. A child with AS might be regarded by teachers as a "problem child" or a "poor performer." The child’s extremely low tolerance for what they perceive to be ordinary and mediocre tasks, such as typical homework assignments, can easily become frustrating; a teacher may well consider the child arrogant, spiteful, and insubordinate. Lack of support and understanding, in combination with the child's anxieties, can result in problematic behavior (such as severe tantrums, violent and angry outbursts, and withdrawal).

People with AS report a feeling of being unwillingly detached from the world around them.

And on top of that, I take 7 pills a day (JUST for Asperger's!)

Meh. I just see it as another sign of the hypochondria in American society...

I don't fit in in school and the other kids are *******s... OMG ASPERGERS!
My legs itch... OMG RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME!
    etc.

edit - hmm... didn't expect that to get autocensored... oh well.

Look kid, I dont hate you, but I'm tired of people emphasizing they have Aspergers and making it seem like it's a huge problem.

It's not like CFC gathers people with Aspergers and sends them to concentration camps to make units and graphics for us.

Just relax, slow down your wheels and all will be well.

Sorry if I was being an ass. I'm a soulless bastard.

Nice to have you here. We do have quite a few people suffering from that here.

I too do wonder if it isn't a bit exaggerated though. Kinda like ADD. By no means am i saying that they're imaginary, just that they probably over diagnose.

For example, I fit all of those except for clumsiness (actually I'm fairly good in sports, especially skill stuff like ping pong and tennis)but that's just my nerdiness/intellectualism (I'm obsessed with history/ politics/strategy).

I used to think it was a madeup disease too. But I think it's just another name given to people who have poor Social skills. Which, can be developed, like any other skill.

Very true. A lot of "diseases" can be "cured" with perseverance and personal application. :)
