Set-up and rules - Read this setup/rules section before signing up.
1. Setup- No town cops, No town vigs, Mostly vanilla roles, Red (mafia) versus blue (town) teams only, No 3p, no neutral, no SK roles exist in the game. Flavor is flavor, contains no other hints besides alignment and role reveals. Exact setup of the game TBD when I get a full sign-up sheet, and other than the aforementioned gimme information, the setup will be closed. Sign ups will end approximately whenever I feel like it.
TLDR- simple setup with an unknown number of players.
2. Civility- This is a guessing game between friends, treat it as such. Deliberate cheating or being insulting or uncivil are both wholly unnecessary and will result in removal from the game if the mod deems it necessary.
TLDR- play nice.
3. Communication- No private communication allowed between Blue Team members (town) at any time. Screenshots not allowed, or any similar action. Addendum: No screenshots and no taking pictures. The evidence you can present is your behavior inside the thread, and the data which can be found contained therein. You may claim what role you are, but you cannot copy any mod communication, and discussion of timestamps when you received a mod communication is not allowed. This means no quoting PMs or angleshooting regarding private mod-related things. Role and alignment are all you can discuss, and what actions, if any, you took.
MOD NOTE:
If villagers attempt to clear themselves by referring to the specific wording in a role PM, they will become vanilla and they will also be invalid targets for protection, and the mafia can kill them with impunity. That's the minimum and automatic response, which will occur if in my judgment you've attempted to clear yourself by my wording, rather than by claim. If in my judgment, it is more egregious, and more like a quotation of the role PM in question, a modkill will occur then and there. You can claim what kind of powers you have if you have them. Backstory and flavor, etc, are not claimable.
Makes sense? Any questions? PM me.
TLDR- town can't chat privately at any time, don't quote PMs
4. Death- No talking upon death, other than one "bah" style post, no hints or finger pointing permissible. Be civil.
TLDR- no dead chat.
5. Accounts- No multiple accounts allowed in the game. If you are using more than one account on this forum, you are not allowed to sign up with two or more of them.
TLDR- don't cheat.
6. Replacements- Inactive persons are eligible for replacement by dead vanilla townies, or sub volunteers. They will not be wogged, only replaced, and if no replacement is available and volunteers, they will remain inactive. If you need to sub out, contact me privately. Do not give reasons for your replace out in the public thread. Public speculation as to why someone was subbed out is not permitted during the game. You can think whatever you like, but it's out-of-game. Don't discuss it.
TLDR- Don't talk about replacements, let me handle it.
7. Inactivity- Inactivity is declared if you do not make any posts in the game for 3 consecutive real-life days (72 hours straight), Night Phases not included in that time frame. You may request an extension to that if you are able to vote in both of the day phases that you would miss the majority of, if you request the extension in advance. Otherwise, at the 72 hour mark, your role will pass to the first available and willing sub, and you must stop discussing the game until post-game.
TLDR- life happens, but you'll be replaced if it does.
8. Signing up to play- Your sign-up in this game is always invalid unless you say you've read the rules. Whether you actually read them or not is up to you, but there will be no leeway given for not knowing the rules if it should come up, and it will come up immediately if you fail to follow this rule.
TLDR- lol u
9. Mod god- In this game the mod (Askthepizzaguy) makes the rules and permits you to play the game at his own discretion, and can remove that permission at any time and for any reason the game mod considers valid. The game mod is fair and just in his own opinion, and asks that rulings and rules be respected whether you personally agree with them or not. I volunteer to host, you volunteer to play, no points are awarded for winning or losing, you are free to not join future games of mine if you feel I've been unfair. Host rulings are not to be discussed publicly or privately with anyone until after the game is over, as it may disrupt play.
TLDR- My house, my rules. The exit is clearly marked.
10. Voting- Vote must be bolded. If it is not bolded, but there is botched formatting, I will count the vote anyway if I see it. It's highly recommended you do not bury your vote inside a block of text, just in case you botch your formatting, but I will count votes wherever I see them and all bolded votes will be counted. The mod makes mistakes rarely, so help me see your vote. You do not have to spell the player's full handle precisely, but make it very clear who you are voting for, or the vote will be invalid. It's not open for discussion what I do when your vote is ambiguous.
TLDR- Bold your votes, my tally rulings are final
11. Unvoting- simply bold "unvote" or vote for a new player, unvoting is encouraged for clarity, but not required. I will count your latest valid vote as your final vote.
TLDR- EZ voting rules.
12. Editing- You may swiftly edit out mistakes in formatting or spelling, etc, but do not remove game-related content once it has been posted. You will be banned from all my future games if you attempt to cheat by ninja edits. All edits are recorded and moderators can see what you edited out if necessary. Edits that occur after a minute or so has passed should be followed up with a post which explains the edit.
TLDR- You may edit, not angleshoot.
13. Amendments- These rules may be amended or added to at any time. Changes will be announced.
