[I know there are a number of threads discussing what Civ 4 may or may not run on so I apologise for starting another, but I thought this was interesting in itself]

I ran the Aspyr Game Agent there now on my 1.83Ghz white MacBook (with 2GB of RAM). Interestingly, it reckons I have 256MB of VRAM. Now this may be because the agent isn't yet familiar with the MacBooks but it may be because if you throw a load of RAM at these things, more than 64MB can be directed to video. The agent says my system meets the specs apart from the fact that I have an Intel processor and it's unsure if the game will run on Intel - we already know it will.

I've attached a screenshot. It might not tell us much for definite, but I thought it interesting nonetheless.

not to be a stick in the mud, but a "can you run it test" on gamespot seemed to think my old PC could run civ4 as well (it could not get past a few turns without slowing to unplayable levels because of its weak video card). those things are very, very unreliable. and remember, in aspyr's case, they are trying to sell you a product..

Looks like a bug in Aspyr Game agent more than anything else. Notice how the graphics cards are greyed out––the app can't find info for your underpowered integrated GPU, (the one thing that doesn't meet the requirements) so it thinks you'll be fine.

I was curious so I run it also. It tells me that I wont be able to run this game because I have only a dual core PPC G4 and I need a G5 minimum.

I just bought my computer end of april it's a Intel MacBook Pro dual core running at 2GHZ with 2 GB of RAM and 256VRAM. If I don't run this game smoothly nobody that own a Mac will be able to play this game...

Will see when I get the game hopefully next week.

Aspyr Agent is inacurate
