[NFP] Asset Limit Bug Question

I guess someone has already thought of this but did anyone ever try reverting the game binaries to an old version from before people started noticing the bug? I wasn't sure whether the issue was Firaxis broke something or the game always had that limitation and people just astarted noticing after the September 2020 update, so I tried to do so. However, I can't get it to work - the most dramatic thing I've managed to get the game to do is load up the menu screen but somehow not load its database or something. DId anyone ever try that? Is is actually possible?

Do not try to load "older" binaries with newer database - nothing works like that and you're just asking for trouble.
