I would have to say anywhere from conception to a month, maybe a little longer.

You should know if your pregnant by then and its stupid to get an abortion so late in pregnancy when the kid can survive outside the womb, and yes it does happen. I certainly wouldnt do it that late if i was a doctor.

Ah, the xanthreads. I miss them.

Abortion is fine at any stage in life.

Especially if the child is a bastard, because he would be a manifestation of sin.

Ok

Morally I think you should do it ASAP - in the first 2 months if possible.

Legally it should be at any stage - there are more reasons than just not wanting a child for someone to abort a child.

I usually vote regressive party thou - we are against abortion and for clubbing babies. ..... this year voting will be tough for me.

Should, yes. Will, not always.

The experts in cognitive development think that 24 weeks is a good point. I think it's a bit fuzzy at that stage, though.

I don't truck as much with 'viability outside the womb' as some people do. I prefer to examine when neural information is beginning to be processed and developed

But don't you also think that the woman should have control of her body's resources no matter the sentience of the foetus?

Should a mother have the ability to put her kid to death just because at one time the kid was inside her and part of her body in a way?

Yes. I see no reason to prevent people having control over their own bodies. The fact that the foetus is 'part of her body in a way' is precisely why she should be allowed to 'kill' it.

Most people agree that birth is not when "human" is applied to the child, but some point in the develpment process within the womb, which is why third trimester abortions are pretty much universally opposed. Is there some magic point where we can determine every child becomes human? No, so I prefer to be on the side of caution, and say in the first trimester only. Then everyone has a chance to abort if they want, and there is no chance of killing a human being.

For the record I prefer no abortion period, you chance to decide if you want the child or not is at the time of sex, but I am not going to get what I want so compromise I must.

Before conception seems like a good place. Course, that means no abortion.

99% is what's advertised theese days. Good enough.

Consider how much sex is had. One out of 100 times, the condom fails? People have a lot of sex. That's a lot of failures.

Wear it anyway, of course, but it's still not failure-proof.
