Exactly.
I'm agnostic and if I lived ina society where agnosticism and atheism are not acceptable I would pretend to be religious. Obviously that won't keep me from committing alleged sins or treason if I think I can get away with it.

They don't let children of non-Catholics into Catholic schools in the UK?

I think they have to let a certain number in but I'm not sure about it really. But people do go to church just so their kids can get into a church school.

Huh, I went to Catholic school from 8th grade on and it never came up - although that was about the time my mother returned to Catholicism, so maybe . . .

someone did propose a bill to make faith schools take up to 25% of other faith or non religious people but it was defeated, but would think you could actually take a school to court if you were that bothered, is basically discrimination, personally I feel faith schools have no place in society and are basically a form of segregation parents force on their child

If I was made ruler of the Universe I would absolutely let the religious people win by giving them all the powers to force Atheists to convert. Can't have skeptical and free thinking individuals going amok in my realm.

I would convert for a candy, but I'd like to clarify that this would only apply if converting was an effortless process on my part and the candy in question was something nice like a bag of honeycomb or something.

If it's just going to be some nasty cheapo "candy bar", then you'd have to count me out, I'm afraid. Why would anyone worship a God who tries to feed people that kind of junk?
