It happened last week. This is another evidence that islamic terrorism is raging in Bosnia. But this time they struck in the heart of Europe.

Erm, you might want to finish your own article

But Doris Edelbacher, chief spokeswoman for Austria's federal counterterrorism office, played down speculation Tuesday that the thwarted attack may have been motivated by radical Islamic ideology.

"It is too early to speak of an Islamist background," Buxbaum said.

From what I get from the article, the guy was too stupid to realize that a bomb would set off a metal detector, babbled incoherently when caught, and has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for years. Seems to me he's just a nut, not part of some underground islamist plot...

Naturally, they used some idiot to enter the bomb to the embassy. But that guy is the least important. And Vienna is a center for vahabbi movement in Central Europe, and both suspects were regular visitors to Vienna's most radical mosque.

I think I'll still need more evidence before I consider this anything more than a lone nut with some mental problems...

How very kind of to accuse "Islamic terrorists" on this events. They can do whatever they want. They can act like they go to the mosque everyday and night. Everything can be planned to put the blame on Islam....

Well... lets us sing "Sorry, you can put the blame on me.... lalalala" by Akon...

While I also think it could just be a nut...

Both of the people involved regularly visited the most radical mosque in Vienna? Well... in that case... I'd have to say that even if they are not official members of AL Q, their motivation was obvious. I do not think he was trying to achieve healthcare reform or improve gay rights. It is possible for someone to be an individual terrorist. Their actions define them.

Akon (whoever they are) lyrics/conspiracy aside, I think the motivation was obvious enough.

Austrian police found 1/2 kilo of "Semtex" in this guy's house. That's a military explosive, some random nut couldn't buy it in a grocery store.

I see your point, but when some crazy fool accosts you on the street, babbling about how Jesus spoke to him in his taco and told him to kill Ronald McDonald, I bet you don't think to yourself "Another christian fundementalist...!" No, you most likely think that he's a nut who probably hears what he wants to hear in church, or sees what he wants to in the bible, and applies it to his own delusions....

The semex is a little unnerving, i can admit....

No, but it isn't used for military purposes anymore. It's used nowadays mostly for commercial purposes, chiefly building demolition. It's possible that he worked somewhere and/or simply had the connections to get his hands on some of it.
