Audio glitch with SAM Infantry

I installed the Warlords expansion pack on my computer and now everything runs slower. Game loads take forever, and when exploring in the early stages of the game, it freezes for a couple seconds before revealing the hidden portions of the map (but only on land).

But these are minor annoyances compared to my main problem.

When SAM Infantry starts showing up in the later stages of the game, my computer is having an audio bug. When the game is idle, and the animation that shows the Infantryman rub his neck and sigh starts, the speakers on my computer let out an ear-splitting report that scares the crap out of me! The volume isn't turned up very loud either. And it's only happening with the SAM Infantry animation. It doesn't happen unless the animation happens on-screen. I can't stress how loud this glitch is. I'm staying with a roommate and she was in another room down the hall and it even scared her! I thought this was a problem with my new speakers, but like I said, it only happens with the SAM Infantry animation.

I was wondering if I uninstalled Warlords and then reinstalled it, if this would go away. But I don't know how to uninstall it. Could someone help me with this. For now I just do my best to make sure that SAM Infantry are never on my screen for more than a few seconds.

I know this is going to make people laugh, but my computer with the game on it isn't connected to the internet yet. I just got it not long ago and my roommate lost the disk to install the start-up program for the internet account. It has a modem, but no way to connect to it. I could just call the phone company and ask for another one but I haven't done it yet.

So, could someone just tell me how you uninstall Warlords so I can try it again?

P.S. As you can tell, I'm not very computer literate. :D

Well if you are posting here, you obviously have some kind of access to the internet. You can go to the game site or it might be available here or at aployton.net and download the patch to a disk of somesort/memory stick/flash drive and bring it home with you. and install it manually.

But ot uninstall the game, just go to add/remove programs or put the the CD in and load the game from the CD instead.

Uninstalling and reinstalling won't fix it. The bug was in the initial version of Warlords and is fixed with the patch.

heres how to fix it.

There's a typo (?) in Audio3dscripts.xml, in Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Warlords\Assets\XML\Audio-folder. Search for "yawn". It should be the third yawn down

Notice how iMinvolume in "AS3D_UN_YAWN_VOX_LOW" is actually larger than iMaxvolume. Replace 75 with 50 or something, and the noise goes away. Apparently the yawning of the SAM's was causing this to happen.
