It's pretty funny seeing all my Liberal-supporting friends go nuts on Facebook, joining angry bitter Facebook groups and calling everyone in Australia stupid and muttering darkly about how everything's gonna go to hell and THEY'LL COME CRAWLING BACK and so forth.

On a serious note I saw the new Senate party - online party or something? Apparently their plan, if elected, was to have people vote online for each bill and then they do the bidding of the majority of online voters. I voted for them because I liked the idea that this would bring a more true method of democracy to Australia.

Just unfortunate that most people won't bother to adequately educate themselves on the issue at hand, though. Nice idea but completely ridiculous in a way. That is why we elect representatives - to do the legislating and educated voting for us.
