Has anyone any idea who the Austrian leader will be and what their UU is likely to be?

Bring on the wild guesses! ;)

I would think that they're both connected with the Napoleonic era, to match the scenario I think Austria is in.

the austrian uu should be "the banker" ;)
special: steal money from innocent civs *fg*
j/k ;)

I think it's Arnold "The Governor" Schwarzenegger

hjaa.... I am doing zee gropingk!:goodjob:

Meine schpecial ability, ist to grope you all!:D *grope* *grope*

Seriously... you could have a UU that gropes enemies, leaving them unable to move due to fear for 5 turns.

hopefully it will be some kind of cool napoleonic cavalry-type unit. or a musketman/infantry thing. it's all good

Just wondering, but if we choose to implement Austria into our game, will it include the ancient, medieval, and modern leaderheads?

The leader is either:

i) Maximilian I (as the Holy Roman Emperor for a period of time)
ii) Maria Theresa (Most probably her...)
iii) Franz Joseph (actually he lost so many wars)...

The Austian leader is a male. If you look at the IGN designer diary for the Fall of Rome, there is a "new" leaderhead for the Ostrogoths, which is most likely Austria, considering no other civ had their own leaderhead.

I would have preferred Maria Theresa, but since it looks like I will be modding out the Byzantines, what I'm gonna do is:

Swap Cathy for Theodora -- she's a prettier leaderhead, and fits "Russia" so far.

Swap the Austrian Leaderhead for Cathy -- make Austria "Maria Theresa." It fits rather well.

I think Cathy is fat, ugly, but smart. She was pretty intelligent, but somebody should cut that mole off with a razor or something.

Now Joan, I dig the buzz cut with the Armee shirt. But Cathy would definetly be a better representation of Maria Theresa in my opinion, not because Maria is ugly, but she thought more like Cathy than Theodora.
