Auto Focus/Restore

I use the 'open in a new window' functionality of browsers most of the time when viewing a list of threads to view individual threads. Usually when I do this, I instantly minimize the new window while it loads.

The problem is that these new windows automatically restore or focus once they've loaded, causing them to popup from being minimized to being in my face.

After Flash, this is quite possibly the most annoying thing I've encountered on the web in over 11 years.



PS - If there's some setting I can use to disable this annoying behavior please PM me!

What browser are you using ?
I do the same thing (minimising) but this never happened to me on Opera.

I would recommend uisng Firefox. It let's you open a page in a new tab in the background.

IE 7 beta 3 does the same thing, and is something I prefer over Firefox. Still unsure on how much better its security is.

It annoys me too, but I don't like tabs.
