In this thread I will attempt to argue that Autocracy is the Superior Ideology in nearly every circumstance for gameplay, and philosophically.(Gameplay in this post)

An Autocracy is defined as "a government where one person has all the power." Whether it's good or bad depends on the leader and their ability to effectively work with the people under them. The leader is the capstone of the pyramid. Their are specialists in all fields, including advisors and generals. The leader is a specialist at the very top, but while he does make all the decisions, he or she still has many advisors to help them. Monotheism is an example of an Autocracy, there is one God who is all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-powerful, but if so, why is the world so messed up?

We tend to think these are totalitarian dictatorships or monarchies where the people have no rights at all, but a truly honorable autocrat doesn't need to silence the voice of his people. While Democracy is often touted as the most enlightened form of government, a true democracy is really nothing more then the rule of an angry mob. The problem is that people don't really know whats best for them, and need to be ruled by capable leaders. Whether elected as a Republic, or a king and his advisors, corruption is possible and is difficult to overcome when people are oppressed, but also when thoroughly deceived and brainwashed.

An Autocracy can be benevolent, and a Democracy can be an angry misguided mob. Christianity, for example, spent most of its time during the church age as a Roman Fundamentalist Holy Empire where billions were slaughtered or tortured if they did not accept Jesus Christ at the point of a sword. Then we had the Renaissance and the enlightenment. The founding fathers of America were trying to fight corruption and tyranny, and warned us about the grave dangers of banking. Most will be surprised at what has been said about banking, and how through banking and legalism a few have enriched themselves while stealing prosperity from everyone, and only one in a million will detect the theft.

The "Freedom" or Free-Dumb Ideology, would more appropriately be called "Liberty," which is not true freedom. Liberty is what a dog has at the end of a leash. It might also be called the Capitalist Ideology. Basically, money IS freedom. If you have a lot of money you can vacation and live anywhere in the world. If you don't, then you the freedom to sleep on the park bench or behind the dumpster when you're homeless.

The real benefits of so called freedom are enjoyed by the rich minority whereas the rest of the people are actually worse off then slaves. As the old saying goes "Classical Slavery requires slave holders to house and feed slaves. Economic Slavery requires slaves to house and feed themselves." This is summed up perfectly in the Capitalism tenet, whereby Mints, Banks, and Stock Exchanges create happiness for the minority. Of course, most of your cities will not have a mint; but if you get this tenet you deserve to be ripped off.

Christianity is today, mostly associated with the west, freedom of speech, the differences between Protestantism as it emerged during the Reformation out of Catholicism, probably because too many people could easily see that the Roman Catholic Church fulfilled every indication of being the Harlot of Babylon described in the Bible, and that Catholic Priests are actually hypocrites who call themselves "Father," despite Jesus' clear instructions to call no man father, but I digress.

Christianity would easily become an Autocracy were Jesus Christ to return and rule all nations with an iron rod as is prophecized of him. I am currently playing King Level Polynesia on Oceania where I chose the God-King pantheon belief. Kamehameha was actually fulfilling the prophecies of his people when he united the Hawaiian islands. He also supposedly lifted a 3000 lb boulder when he was 14, which was also prophecized of him. While I don't believe for a second he actually lifted the boulder, he came along as a kind of Messianic figure and did intend fulfill the rest of what he was supposed to do. I mention this and Christianity because it is the perfect example of how a benevolent Autocracy would come into being.

I feel what we have now is an example where the people are mostly brainwashed. If you have point out anything bad about America and Capitalism, especially during the old days, most would call you a communist. Political Communism has never truly achieved the ideals of what communism was supposed to be, a system where wealth and resources is distributed equally among the people, where this massive winding gap between rich and poor does not exist. A Capitalism world where the 1% have 99% of the money, as we see today, is really nothing more then Totalitarianism in disguise, if not something worse.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying true communism is the best. I am a firm believer in Meritocracy along with Universal Basic Income. Humans are the only creatures who actually have to pay to live on this plan-et. That millions go starving while the rich sit in the lap of luxury is completely inexcusable, but most people find themselves too busy with day to day affairs and decadent living along with the culture-tourism powerhouse of television, internet, etc to care, aside from the occasional social activist trying to save the whales.

Big Business really does ruin this world. Scientific advancements are denied when they threaten the corporate powers that be. An example is the man who invented a carborator that gives you three times as much gas to the gallon. His work was bought out by the American government and promptly brushed under the table. Another example would be is learn how to Teleport people and objects. This could put the post office and automobile industries out of work overnight.

Perhaps the best example is the effect on the environment. Hemp has a large number of uses and was grown in America throughout the 1800s, but it became illegal due to the Lumber Barons. You've probably heard of "Save the Whales," and "Save the Rainforests," but most of us are not convinced becoming an activist would amount to anything more then wasting our time. Most of us accept there are things we can't change and that exercising our right to free speech will ultimately not matter. We humans are small and insignificant, and Religion has ingrained on us, that we must wait for a Saviour to come and save us.

The fact remains, America is in debt by design, and that growing Hemp could've saved this country, along with the Rainforests. Today we have Electric Vehicles, I myself do not drive a car. I own an EW-36 Mobility Scooter, that is fast and durable enough to get you around town. The word License comes from the root "Licentiousness," meaning something that is perverse or strange. You need a license to drive a car because you are guilty of perversion: polluting the environment. Yet despite the technology being available, Electric Cars will not come into widespread use because that would threaten the Oil Barons.

Republic and Democratic governments are great at manipulating people and using false flags to justify going to war, when the real reason behind war is economic gain. The so called war on terror is nothing but a hoax to tighten security and steal oil from the Arabs. 95% of all the worlds Heroin is produced in Afghanistan and distributed, along with Cocaine, by the CIA. On the contrary, I find that the Arab Countries do things right and that America is brainwashing its people.

For instance, in Islamic countries Interest is illegal. Interest causes rich to become richer, and poor to become poorer. It takes money to make money (unless you're the fed then you literally make it from nothing) if one is poor they borrow money with loans or credit cards and pay interest. Indeed our economic system is nothing but a bunch of glorified IOU's being traded. It's just a supply of numbers, some of them printed, most of them typed. Only gold and silver are real money.

Though we have the right to vote, I will argue that presidents are selected, not elected. Do you vote for the president of any other corporation? America is a corporation, not a country, and is a colony of Britain which in turn is owned by the Pope. There exists verifiable documented proof of these claims I am making. I suggest you watch the videos, 30 facts about America, Hidden Secrets of Money 4, the biggest scam in the history of mankind, and Commerce Law of the Sea by Chiron Last on Youtube. The System that calls itself Republic or Democracy is actually just a choice between a big douche and turd sandwich, a system in which WE are "human captial," and "Human resources." Paper money is debt. For every dollar brought into existence, a second dollar is owed. The only way to pay it is by borrowing another dollar. This is why a "debt ceiling" is pure delusion. Top Economists understand. Many are predicting Financial Collapse.

The 2016 election is the best example of this. Both Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump are criminals of the highest degree. It is called a Criminal Justice system because the Criminals make the Justice. You wanna know who I voted for, despite voting being an utter waste of time designed to foster the lie of democracy, I voted for Andrew Basiago, although he never had a chance in hell of actually winning. Look up that name.

America ain't what it used to be. Greatest Country on Earth? America is only the greatest in terms of Military and we are number 1 for having the most prisons and prisoners. It is a big corporate police state with corrupt leaders, that is largely in denial, and therefore cannot move forward the way an actual police state would eventually do. When the problem goes undetected, it can never be solved. The Statue of of Liberty does not exist on American Soil. It proclaims the limited controlled Liberty that our British and Vatican Masters give us. It is a drag queen recreation of the Collosus of Rhodes, who is Mithra, and the biblical antichrist. So it easy to understand why the Bible says "Thou shalt no more be called the Lady of Nations." Sadly, priests, and Christanity do not want to move forward with Bible Prophecy, they simply want to sing and dance, and suck the people dry. Then they give all the money to Israel, who Nukes the Arab Countries, and well, If I got into the Holocaust being a hoax and how Jews run the world and control all of the industires, we'd be here for hours.

While I can name many other examples, I am trying to illustrate how Capitalism and democratic government can be corrupt, and how Autocracy or Communism can be benevolent or at least more honest and direct. Autocracy is poorly defined in the game as an Ideology for warmongering when you just want to capture cities and crush your enemies, but I find it to be Superior in most regards for the other types of victory, even if you never capture any cities. There seems to be a bias that Freedom is good and Autocracy is for the bad guys.

What happened to Nobles and "Nobility?" To Knights and "Chivalry?" Nobles are not always noble, Princes and Kings are not always above reproach, but in place of Monarchies, Dictators, and Religious Messiahs, the world of today is ruled by Merchants and Economics. Everyone, and everything, is an asset to be owned. Today we have our ObamaCare Policies, which is 10,000 pages long! It is often said the Truth is simple once you find it, but lies are complex webs of deception. People do not understand the real legal meaning of terms like "Person, corporation, etc." I yearn for a more simple way of life. We are drowning in Legalise loopholes meant to trick us, unnecessary work, and an overly complicated way of life designed to waste our time, when we should be living in the Utopia envisioned in the 1950's, where with our level of technology, people should only need to work 10 hours a week. If at all. Watch "2013 - Will Work For Free."

That was amazing. Very woke.

Yeah, good luck finding a noble autocrat. They are a few in histotry, but I can't think of any recent ones. I guess Tito was relatively decent as autocrats go, but I might be a bit biased there.
The point of democracy is not to find the ideal people. That's ompossible as most humans who are drawn to political power are a bit more flawed than the average. The point is to make it easier to get rid of the bad ones and limit the damage they can do.

There is also one serious flaw in the OP: it takes the USA as a model for democracy. That's seriously messed up and I would argue many (maybe most, I'm using weasel words here because I can't be arsed to check up on a few dozen countries) European democracies are working a lot better. One reason is the imho woefully outdated consitution which was a good idea for that time, but since then society and technology have changed too much. Another is capitalism, which is a corrupting influence on any political system, including oligarchies and autocracies. That capitalism is so unchecked in the USA is not a feature of democracy, it's a consequence of American values which tend to be more libertarian, and the particular implementation of Democracy in America which has lead to a one party system masquerading as a two party system, until one of those parties went completely insane.

Even the most benevolent dictator could never possess all of the local and implicit knowledge needed to properly guide the actions of the masses.

Ähm, wat?

Pffft! Hypocracy is the Superior Ideology! Procrastinocracy seemed promising but they never seem to get anything done.

For instance, in Islamic countries Interest is illegal

Weird nitpick but this is, in most cases, only nominally true. Riba (usury) is definitely forbidden by scripture, but pretty much every major Islamic bank has a cute way around this; a home loan may not be a loan, but instead, the bank itself purchases a home, then resells it to the original consumer at the end of the “loan” period at the new (and, presumably increased) value.

Already done. We were here for weeks, not hours, and the end result was a lot of arguing which led to hard feelings and several locked threads.

Personally, I heard this whole line from my grandfather when I was 5. I'm not in any mood for a rerun 49 years later, thanks.

[The Statue of Liberty] is a drag queen recreation of the Collosus of Rhodes, who is Mithra, and the biblical antichrist.
How is that a bad thing?

Moderator Action: Thread locked. CFC OT is not the place for spreading antisemitic beliefs and holocaust denial. It is something that we have undergone several times in the past and it has never been a genuinely contributing topic to the community. The opening post itself is also a little too incoherent to allow the community an opportunity to respond in good faith.
