Automatic Logging Off

This had happened everyday this week, I always browse through threads by opening them in a new window, and since I use the extreme style, it's pretty distinctive to see that after opening some threads the rest of them don't have red backgrounds. And then I have to re-log on. But after a while when you refresh the page it turns back normal again. What is this? Anyone else had this problem too?

I get logged off after a few minutes with no activity. I believe some of that is due to my not using automatic log on.

I experienced it twice on the same day, and never again. I didn’t even change any settings.

I did use the automatic log on, and I was opening the threads at the time, so it can't be "a few minutes with no activity."
