John Prescott has been elevated to the House of Lords

He resigned as Commons MP this year and i believe he is also running for Labour Party treasurer or something along them lines

edit- he previously stated he wouldn't become a Lord

Well, historically it has. This year, it was the spot Cameron gave to Clegg, along with the other non-job Lord President of the Council, but I suspect he's being given actual responsibilities. On the other hand, I bet Clegg is privately fuming about not getting the Home Secretary spot (he would likely have done well).
