I've played some Civ 6 games now (China, US, Gorgo) and they've been fun so far. I thought to try the Aztecs but, despite my purchase being a preorder through GMG, Montezuma does not appear as a civ choice. I've sent a message to 2K and hopefully they'll help out. Strange!

I thought I was having the same problem. Try scrolling down the list of available Civs.

Nope, not there. No Aztecs, no Montezuma. 2K were good though, they've sent through a code to try, which I will when I'm home. :)

Nope, "product already owned". Maybe I'll need to reinstall.

Still no sign of the Aztecs. I've tried in-game civpedia and no Aztecs either.

Go to your Steam library, right click Civ VI, then select Properties and then the DLC tab. Does the "Aztec Civilization Pack" appear there? If not, you need to contact your retailer (GMG) to get a Steam key for that DLC.

If the Aztec DLC pack does appear there, is the "Install" box unchecked? If so, check that box and the DLC should install.

If that box is already checked, then try unchecking it, re-checking it, and then revalidate your game files (right click properties, select Local Files, and then Verify Integrity of Game Cache).

Interesting. No Aztec pack appears (I have the Digital Deluxe and soundtrack packs there though). I'll speak with GMG.

I'm happy to inform that I've worked out what had happened. GMG had supplied a separate game key for the Aztecs but it took very careful looking to find. Montezuma is now alive and well!
