I loved Bab Yetu, I think it's one of the greatest songs for a game. It seems so Civ for a song, just epic.

So do you want a song like this? It dosn't have to be Bab Yetu or anything like it, but I mean the epicness of the song or how great it was.

I liked how they added Bab Yetu into Civ Rev, and I would like to see the song make a comeback in Civ V.

So first of, would you like another epic song for Civ V, and would you like to see Baba Yetu make a come back some how in Civ V? Like an easter egg or main song in the game.

I'd love it in Civ 5. I agree, an epic and awesome song.

I'm pretty sure it's not the main song, though it would be a nice little easter egg, I suppose. You could probably change the main theme to Baba Yetu fairly easily. If it's anything like editing Left 4 Dead sound files, then all it really would require is a file re-naming.

I think that song has basically become a landmark for Civ now. I would like for it to return but if not, I agree that "style" of music is just perfect so at least something like it will fit just fine.

I got sick of Baba Yetu. I would prefer something more neutral (but yet still pleasing) for the main menu.

I hated the BTS theme too, that got irritating real quick.

I love it and I feel that Baba Yetu was probably the greatest song in a game, and would like to be able to listen to it in Civ V... but Civ V is a new game and I think it should have new music. Give the game another shot at the best music... of course now the bar is pretty high.

Don't get me wrong, Baba Yetu was and is a great song. But, that song will forever be inexplicably connected to Civ IV. I don't want it in Civ V because I don't want it to become a sort of over-popularized thing that they just keep going to because they know that they can get away with it. They have created something new and exciting with Civ V and as such I think that new music is appropriate and I am perfectly happy with the opening menu music as it stands.

Its not going to be in Civ V, but if anyone wants to they can simply mute the ingame music and play your own choice of music in a media player.

Also remember that Baba Yetu is a religious song... and as of such, it is strong in connection to civ IV. Civ V has no religions.

Baba Yetu is possibly one of the greatest songs of all time. If they put I as the main theme in a bunch of Civilization games it may start to ge. Overused though.

I'm sure you could pull the baba yetu mp3 out of your civ IV folder and replace civ V's theme song with it.

If it were in Civ5, it would confuse me. It's Civ4's theme song. Civ5 needs its own thing, imo.

It would have been nice if they got Christopher Tin back to compose some of the songs, but that is life.

What if I am playing on console? I can't do that then. :crazyeye:

Spoiler :
Just seeing if anyone is paying attention to what is said and caught on.

Not really. It was great for Civ IV. It's still great for Civ IV. Time to move on to new stuff.

I'd love to have conquests fantasy 1 + 2 in Civ V, I love those tracks.

Whenever I play a game I always just run this on a continuous loop:

Not really, I used to hate that song when playing EUII, but I know there are people who love it.

I liked Baba Yetu. I am also interested in the music choices for CiV. The truth is though, after a couple of play throughs I'll just play my own music anyway.

I really liked Baba Yetu, but I would rather see it as an "easter egg" then main theme since that song is so entwined with Civ IV
