back after years, what mod packs wont die late game?

Hi all
I have returned to Civ after many years and finally having a kick ass laptop. I've spent the last week engrossed in a thrilling game with the Super Power mod pack........Then that old frustration of it all just dying and not working around industrialization. Some things never change it seems. Is there any total conversion mod packs that I can play through a whole game with these days?
