I am enjoying this mod immensly so far.

Just came across the following (see attached image) which I believe to be a very minor glitch - but it might well be that it is me who is just misunderstanding something.

How comes in the Bronze age a wonder in the Medieval age is already built ? :)

---

PS
Just won a 2,1 % battle and a 18,4 % battle right afterwards, the first 2 in the game, without losing even 1 health point. That was odd, too.

<-- posting deleted, made a mistake -->

But the questions above still stand...

The age you are in is based on what techs you have. As the Inca, you start out very far behind in tech, so the wonders were likely built by some more advanced civs in Europe or Asia or Africa.

Once you discover the Calendar, all of those dates will fix themselves.

If your two battles were against barbarians, I believe I remember reading somewhere that your first 3 or so battles against the barbarians are guaranteed wins.

Not sure, but I think that was the case. As for the wonder, what everyone said is true, its likely just you, as the Incan Empire, see the world as the bronze age when Europe and the Middle East are already in the rennaissance.

Vishaing is right your first 3 attacks against Barbs are automatic wins. Always best to use a weak unit (warrior/archer) against something like a camel archer for max exps if you can.

BTW The Incans are one of the hardest Civs (if not THE HARDEST) to get the UHV's with if your just starting out with this mod...in fact i belive no-one has won the UHV with the Incas.

Just to, you know, boost your confidence ;)

Ah, interesting, I didnt get that from the readme! I thought the "age" would be related to the year and be the same for every civilization. Interesting concept!

Is this a RFC thing or a general Civ4 thing? I believe Civ4 is a great game and one of the very few things which keep it from being stellar ist that it hides too much information from the user. For example the hidden attitude modifiers, or the different behaviour of leaders ... all of this should be more transparent.

Anyway, you guys are all really helpfull, thanks!

PS
I guessed the Incas would be hard, thats why I am playing them ;-). Plus I like playing civilizations to whom history has been cruel and lead them to a better future. :)

Haven't you noticed it?

Its a Rhyes and fall thing. Although I have to say I have sort of forgotten what normal Civ IV is like these days. :)

No the Incas make me cry like a wee girl whenever I play them.

hmm if you haven't found it easier in 1.07, then you're not keeping your eye open. The recent changes makes it much easier to launch into south america much earlier than before. Notice how the rainforest and mountains sort of vanish in a few key spots eventually...
