In the spirit of this thread, now I'm going to come up with some "negative" traits. Don't take this too seriously, this is just for fun.
Taxing:
Maximum of 4 in all tiles.
Half production speed of Bank.
Disloyal:
When other civilizations catch your spies, they keep them as their own. (like worker-stealing)
For each military unit inside others' borders, 2% chance per unit per turn that it defects to that civilization. (It is sent to that civ's nearest city if this happens.)
+1 per building that contributes any .
Polluting:
+25% from all buildings causing .
Cannot build Aqueduct, Hospital, or Recycling Center.
Passive:
-2 EXP points to all military units created.
Other civilizations may declare war while inside your borders and remain there.
Half production speed of Barracks and Dry dock.
Egalitarian:
Cannot use Slavery, Serfdom, Caste System, or Hereditary Rule civics.
Cannot build the Pyramids.
Half production speed of Jail.
Theocratic:
+1 per each city's that is not the state .
Must declare a state if any of your cities has any .
Theocracy civic does not block the spread of .
Cannot use Free Religion civic, unless mandated by UN treaty (must vote "No" or "Never!" for it).
Authoritarian:
Cannot use Emancipation, Universal Suffrage, Free Speech, Free Religion, or Representation civics, unless mandated by UN treaty (must vote "No" or "Never!" for them).
Half production speed of Library and University.
Bureaucratic:
+50% civic costs.
Courthouse has no effect on city maintenance costs.
+50% corporation costs.
War-mongering:
-3 relations with all civilizations.
Voting "Never!" on UN resolutions just counts as a "No" vote, but your civilization still experiences the effects of a "Never!" vote, including the penalty.
