I'm pretty happy with the setup I've created in COTM 174. It's set up to be both winnable by any condition you want to go in (culture, domination, diplomatic, space) as well as challenging for a few reasons. I just can't decide if there should be barbarians involved or not. So, I'll let the community decide :)

Do you want barbarians for COTM 174?

Note: The poll allows for you to select two responses. Pick either "yes" or "no" then pick the barbarian setting if "yes" wins (optional of course if you select no.)
 
Let's be a bit careful with Barbarians on Deity... But as Aztecs, we should be able to fend a few off with our Jaguar Warriors.

And don't make my mistake of setting the Barbarians only in the editor! It seems you have to start a game with the intended setting in the game itself just before you load the scenario file to create the game save file. The settings from the previous game overrides the settings in the scenario file, it seems. Someone should put this information in the game setup instructions...

I will abstain from the poll. Without seeing the start / knowing the scope, I do not feel I could make a sensible vote. Even when you are in doubt about it now, I think it is still best for the designer to choose...
What Piu says about barbs on Deity level holds true, for sure.

Yes, that was sort of a reminder to self. I've just updated the instructions. Something similar was already in them, which I edited somewhat for clarity.

I had forgotten about this myself :blush:...
