Barbarians not spawning in BNW

Hi,

I have CIV V (Steam, BNW) set up with random size, fractal, king, save promotions. I have started three games, in no case does the barbarians spawn. I have not chacked "No barbarians". I have also tried "Raging Barbarians", same result.


When the PC makes its calculations, the icon at the bottom of the screen indicates the barbarians do their thing, but no barbarians visible. I have played to approx 130 turns in all three games.

I miss my barbarians!

Any suggestions?

Are you using any mods? If so, start a game without any mods to see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise, verify your game cache (Steam --> Library --> Right-click Sid Meier's Civilization 5 --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify Integrity of Game Cache). If none of that helps, please post a save file that illustrates the problem.
