I have seen games (pangaee, standard size map) in the HOF that was won with horsearcher rush, and there were few or none buildings in all the cities. So I am wondering what would be the bare minimum buildings for domination/conquest victory. Obviously, courthouses and barracks would be essential, as well as granary and lighthouse (in coastal cities starved for food), forges in your production cities, market/library/monastary/grocer in some commerce rich cities. What do you guys think?

In some contrived form of the game, (see Deity guide), the OP won before 3500 BC with nothing produced but Quechuas. No barracks, nothing. So the bare minimum of buildings would be none, if you're willing to accept those artificial settings and restarts.

Let's suppose for the purpose of discussion, the game starts in the ancient era, and the map is set to standard and larger, with default number of civs.

I suppose you could get a conquest victory with Rome on a standard map with nothing but barracks, razing everything you conquer.
