In about 12 hours, the next inductees to the Baseball Hall of Fame will be announced. Were I a voter, my ballot would be as follows:

Andre Dawson
Dennis Eckersley
Paul Molitor
Ryne Sandberg
Lee Smith
Bruce Sutter

What would your ballot be?

Why does nobody ever talk about Tony Oliva. He was a great player, he should have been in the hall 15 years ago.

Yes, I am, but I am too young to really remember Smith and Sutter. Looking at Smith again today, I probably wouldn't have voted for him. Eckersley may have been on the Cubs, but not for very long: it was his accomplishments particularly as an Athletic that led me to believe he deserves to be in the Hall.

As far as Sandberg goes, though, I do not think there is any question that he deserves to be in the Hall. I expect him to get the necessary votes next year.
