BBC reporter's captors release video

Are you an expert in this field? No. Investigative reporter well versed in the data? No. Accountable to anyone for honesty in your findings? No. Are you extremely biased in your opinion on the issue? YES. Have you made errors due to your bias in the past? YES. Do you have access to all the pertinent and factual data? Probably not.

Please dont kid yourself that you wouldnt call bullcrap on me if I tried to present data that I had compiled myself with no resouce to link to at all. You most certainly would do the same thing I am asking, so either provide a valid resource that agrees with your 'findings' or not.

Since we have been around this 4 times now and you havent been able to link to any source aside from one thread you created, it should be dismissed as biased data.

Again, if you are going to comments on such data as a matter of fact you should be ready to provide non-biased and reliable sources for that data that support your finding and corroborate it.
You do the maths, and when your maths comes to a different conclusion than mine, then we can talk.

They have so many legitimate grievances, and then these retards do violence to the only Western voice that is the only Westerner giving their side of the story to the world, as part of their struggle with another Palestinian group. What a disservice to Alan Johnston, but even more, what a disservice to the Palestinian people, who deserve better than this. I cant help but be reminded of Lawrence of Arabia, and the quote:
So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people - greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are.

As an Arab-American myself, I can say: Too true, too true. It's just ridiculous.

The Arab tendency to suspect conspiracies doesn't help, either. Everything is a conspiracy, to most Arabs; they always ask "Who gains?" before anything else. Obviously, this does work sometimes, and probably more often in the Middle East than anywhere else, but what about the times where it might not be a conspiracy? It bothers me a bit, sometimes, though I see where they're coming from.

Hamas released a tape of Gilad Shalit. BBC does it's best to ignore the fact that his kidnappers and Alan's are the same, not once mentioning thier name.

The Palestinian captors...A spokesman for his captors...accused Cpl Shalit's captors...

BBC does it's best to ignore the fact that his kidnappers and Alan's are the same, not once mentioning thier name.
And the significance of that is what, precisely? In fact: how to you come to the conclusion that they are 'doing their best' to ignore something? A quick look at wiki shows that nobody knows who is actually holding Shalit. Army of Islam have stated that Hamas is holding him.

More of that 'reporting' bias anyone?

Hamas released the audio tape today of that Cpl. His health is poor and needs to go to a hospital. Wounder why that is. Can we agree that the BBC does know its hamas and just can't bring it self to admit it or are you going to tell me that hamas released the tape but some one else is holding him?

This is beyond ridiculous. I'm not even sure if they're bluffing anymore. It's like McCarthy, but a lot worse.

At least Shalit is still alive.

Wake up old chap: nivi claims they are held by the same group, however it seems clear that 'Army of Islam' is holding Johnston and it is unclear who is holding Shalit.

I was just pointing out that nivi is (once again) making unjustifiably judgemental conclusions (about the BBC) because he makes wild leaps when he reads a simple news report.

Wake up old chap: nivi claims they are held by the same group, however it seems clear that 'Army of Islam' is holding Johnston and it is unclear who is holding Shalit.

I mean that going from a simple kidnapping to showing Johnston with a suicide belt and threatening him with death takes this to a whole other level.

Also, it's nreassuring to see Shalit alive, not having heard from him for so long.

Alive for how long though? He hasn't been treated well if what he says is true that his health is bad and needs medical care.

Wake up brennan, i've said they're kidnappers, not who holds them, and right now it is unclear who is holding Shalit. His kidnappers are Hamas, the PRC (which has fatah members, btw), and the army of Islam, the BBC delibratly ignored reporting all three of them.

There you go again: they reported the simple facts of this story: that a new video has been released on a Hamas website. All this 'bias' is coming straight out of your own head:

The story names the three groups who claim responsibility for the kidnapping.
The operation was claimed by the al-Qassam Brigades, the Popular Resistance Committees, and the Army of Islam.

That wasn't there when I looked at the story.
Should have of course mentioned that al-qassam are hamas.

But I still don't see why you chose to attack the BBC over this story...

1. Becuase I don't like the BBC.
2. Becuase I think they have an agenda (this relates to 1).
