Beacon cannot re-activate

I was eight turns from contacting and victory, the beacon had therefore been active, i was then attacked by the computer and the beacon went down to half health then disappeared. I checked the victory and it was not counting down anymore nor was i losing energy. I found i could re-build the beacon so i did, the beacon is now back and fully animated but despite clicking the button to activate it it will not activate. I am stuck on eight turns to victory, not losing energy and the beacon just sits there.

At least you could activate the Beacon the first time. I just finished building the Beacon, and the Activate button does nothing.

to reactivate the beacon, you need the 1000 energy again.
