    Birmingham Temple - > Harbor (Im no fishing expert, but this makes more sense in my mind)
    Disband 3 Warriors, 1 Spearman, 4 Trebuchets, 2 Knight, 1 Longbowman

    IBT
    Hippo Marketplace->Courthouse

    960
    IBT POrtugal and Scandinavia sign peace, Korea and Egypt sign peace
    Newcastle Hospital->Factory
    Dover Hospital -> Factory

    970
    IBT London Hospital->Factory (Im thinking of short rushing it at some point, to start on Hoover)
    Norwich Hospital->Factory
    Spice and Saltpeter expire, get Spice from Egypt for Banking

    980
    IBT Scientific Method, lose supply of wine
    Renew wine+14 gpt with portugal for dyes and gem
    Notthingham Hospital->Factory
    Leptis Minor Temple -> Courthouse
    Cirta Harbor -> Courthouse
    Leptis Magna Temple -> Courthouse
    Lose Iron, Furs supply

    990
    Get Furs from Scandinavia for Education
    Get Ind. from Sumeria, for Sanitation (didnt want to give Elec.), dyes and 170 gold
    The quickest tech at this point is in 6 turns and ToE is due in 5 turns.
    I start research on Rep. parts, but I will turn it off just before Toe is due and switch to atomic theory
    Hastings Switched to Factory
    Rush Factory in London, to start pre build for Hoover

    IBT London Factory->Universal Suffrage
    Reading Temple->Courthouse
    Theveste Temple ->Harbor
    Warwick,Oxford Hospital->Factory

    IBT Dutch threaten us, I send them off, Egypt and Sumeria sign against Iroquois
    York ToE-> Hospital
    (We get Atomic Theory and Electronics)
    Theveste Harbor- >Factory
    Liverpool Heroic Epic->Factory
    Richmond Harbor ->Aqueduct
    1040
    IBT Hippo Courthouse ->Factory
    Leeds Courthouse ->Hospital
    Birmingham Harbor -> Courthouse
    1050

    Ok I just noticed that my trick to do part research on Rep parts didnt work, which I didnt know and I find very dumb (it doesnt seem to remember you have spent beakers before, I thought it did)
    So Replacable parts is due in 7 turns.
    Hoover in 18.
    Nobody has Electricity yet, so we are 4-5 techs ahead in any case.
    The Iroquois got beaten on a lot, and are no longer a major threat.
    They just discovered Military tradition, so maybe more cities will change hands?
    Sumer doesnt have coal, and if we dont give them, they will not be a threat either.
    The only competition for any kind of victory will be Portugal.
    We can probably beat them square, but we could also attack them a bit to make sure.
    Unit maintenance is down to 6 per turn, jsut from city growth (except for the initial disbanding) so no need to disband any more units.
    If we want to attack them, we probably should build Mil Academy first.
    In any case this game is in the bag, only decision left is to attack Portgual or not.

    In the spirit of the game in my mind, we ought not attack Portugal unless everyone really wants to. We are traders and diplomats more than anything else. But the game does appear to be wrapped up, now lets see how fast we can finish it off. And I am still working on next game idea, suggestions are welcomed. Key would be overlooked civs for SGs.

    I would not attack Portugal either.
    It will be faster (in terms on time spent playing) and funner that way I think.

    1050 AD (0) - Going to start things off with a little trading. Gilgamesh offers to fund our research, paying 353gpt and 2750g for Electricity. I'd like to see how much gold we can accumulate. Portugal can only give 57gpt and Democracy.

    IT - Portuguese privateer attacks Man-o-War, but only manages to be enslaved by our Man-o-War.

    1100 AD (5) - Sell SM to Sumeria for The Corporation and 2986g. Probably should have sold to Portugal first.

    IT - Enslave another Portuguese privateer.

    1120 AD (7) - Sell RP to Sumeria for 5804g. And since we want a good trading partner, well more than that actually, decide to sell coal. They offer 300g. Guess not, then. Give Portugal RP and SM for Communism. Not that it really matters. Best we can do on Refining is 9 turns. No universities is hurting us, but we should make it okay. Plus, we are getting 411gpt.

    Pretty boring turns. I turned off friend moves and animation. Um, don't give away Atomic Theory until we have four or fewer turns on Hoover Dam, just in case. We have lots of money now, so you can rush some stuff in more corrupt areas if you want. Or just accumulate more.

    Turn 0 1150 AD

    This game is in cruise control. I'll see if I can keep it that way.

    Our capital has to hire an entertainer, and there are no lux out there to be had.

    The Portugues and the Summerians are down 2 techs to us, rest of the AI's are far behind.

    The Americans have 33gpt available, I take it with Physics.

    Swap a couple of tiles around London to hurry Hoovers by a turn.

    Hire a couple of policemen to hurry some building by a turn.

    Up science to 100%

    IBT: Portugual declare on Iroquois

    Turn 1 1160 AD

    Continue to irrigate the dry north.

    Liverpool finishes factory, starts temple.

    IBT: Korea declare on Vikings.

    Turn 2 1170 AD

    Turn 3 1180 AD

    Hastings: Stock Exchange->Temple
    Oxford: Factory->Cathedral
    Norwich: Factory->Temple

    We lost spice, I guess it was pillaged.

    Pollution at London, delaying Hoovers by a turn. So I have London borrow one more tile from Warwick, putting Hoovers back on schedule.

    Renew the lux deal with Portugual.

    Raise lux tax to 10%. Actually putting more people back to work this way.

    IBT: Summeria sign up Portual against Vikings.
    Lisbon completes the Suffrage.

    Turn 4 1190 AD

    Leptis Magna: courthouse->granary
    Nottingham: Cathedral->infantry
    Warwick: Stock Exchange->temple, hire some engineers to get it in 2.
    Liverpool: temple->police station

    Our fur deal is up. Since the Vikings are getting ganged up on, I renew with America instead for Magnetism.

    We seem to be missing some embassies still, so here they are:

    Egypt: Size 12, Monarchy, has University, Collosseum. Building library. g/s/l = 8/2/0. Defended by a bunch of spearmen and a long bow.

    Vikings: size 9, has all the middle age improvements except Bank and University. Building horses at 15spt. 8/2/0. defended by pikes and catapults.

    America: size 8, has everything except Marketplace, which it is building. 6/4/0. Defended by muskets and knight.

    That completes the embassies.

    Turn 5 1200 AD

    Utica: harbor->granary
    Leptis Minor: courthouse->marketplace, this city is at +12 food.
    Birmingham: courthouse->aqueduct

    We've got 1 turn left on Refining and Hoovers. science down to 60%.

    Turn 6 1210 AD

    London: Hoover->Cathedral
    York: factory->stock exchange
    Nottingham: infantry->infantry
    Hastings: temple->cathedral
    Warwick: temple->cathedral
    Norwich: temple->bank

    Renew the lux deal with Summeria with 41gpt instead of our lux. We can get some of the money back in 4 turns when we trade techs.

    Raise science to 90%, steel due in 8 turns.

    IBT: Portugual sign America against the Iroquois

    Turn 7 1220 AD

    Reading: Marketplace->granary
    Hippo: Factory->granary
    Leptis Minor: marketplace->hospital
    Leeds: Hospital->factory

    Disband a trebuchet and rush the granary in Reading.

    IBT: Summeria sign the Dutch against the Vikings.

    Turn 8 1230 AD

    Reading: Granary->harbor
    Leptis Magna: granary->marketplace
    Newcastle: stock exchange->temple
    Dover: military academy->temple
    Cirta: courthouse->temple, it is under culture pressure

    Iroquois have some money in their pocket, we of course take it:
    - Military Tradition for 83gpt + 90g

    IBT: one of our MoW is attacked by a privateer. So they count as friendly too? In any case, we get a new MoW out of the deal.

    Turn 9 1240 AD

    London: cathedral->wall street
    Hippo: granary->bank
    Dover: temple->army, due in 7
    Liverpool: police station->cathedral
    Richmond: aqueduct->granary

    Switch Reading to factory.
    Rush granary in Utica

    IBT: Summeria and Iroquois sign peace

    Turn 10 1250 AD

    Utica: granary->marketplace
    York: Stock exchange->temple
    Theveste: Factory->Police Station
    Canterbury: Stock exchange->police station
    Coventry: factory->temple
    Warwick: cathedral->artillery, at 42spt
    Newcastle: temple->granary
    Oxford: cathedral->stock exchange

    Hurry the temple in Cirta. Short rush the granary in Richmond.

    Time to renew the tech deal:

    Portugual just self-researched Refining last turn. Summerian doesn't have it yet, so:
    - Refining to Summeria for 262gpt + 170g

    Now, Portugual and Summeria each has about 140gpt left, which we could get by selling them Atomic Theory. Of course this is nowhere near market price. I'll leave it to the next leader to decide if we want to trade it to them.

    Korea is the only other AI out there with gpt, and they have about 27gpt.

    Overall, not much is happening. The other continent is still beating eachother silly. Portugual is our only rival.

    Just one tiny little request, can we save Battlefield Medicine for pre-building :)

    We want those modern age wonders, but we won't have a tech lead, so having more pre-builds could be useful.

    That is a good point. I held off building it during my turns for that reason, but forgot to mention it and promptly forgot about it.

    Turn log: Uneventful.

    Just built infrastructure and units, and sent a man o' war exploring fog o' war.

    (There's not a whole lot to comment on, really...)

    At most, the Portugese may be prepping for war on us, but their ships went right past our land.
